At first, due to the camera not showing your nose (your Forbidden Nooooose!), I thought you might just have been pretending, but I could tell you did it for real when I saw your reaction - the best actors in Hollywood couldn't have faked that reaction - ouch!

Yesterday's QuickVid is right up there with Santa and New Year's! That was hillarious. And a bit crazy. I loved it.

Thanks! A guy at work called it my "Jackass" QuickVid. I guess it did kind of have that feel to it, although I never really cared for that show. The same guy told me my Egor bit was "just weird". He said this while laughing pretty hard.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your feedback! It is so helpful to me to hear about what people enjoy the most. I know some of my QuickVids are better than others, but I'm experimenting and figuring out what seems to be the winning formula(s) and learning more with every bit of feedback.


Fun Fact: It was actually my wife's idea to try snow-snorting the other day. I told her I had to go do a QuickVid. She said "Why don't you do it outside?" I said "It's freezing out there - what would I do?" She said "Why don't you take a straw and try to snort some snow?" Next thing I knew, I was standing outside in 20 degree freezing cold with a straw up my nose. Funny thing - my wife generally doesn't care for my QuickVids and here she goes thinking up one of my best received QuickVids to date!

Now, I'm off to do this weekend's QuickVid. Since I couldn't do what I wanted to do, which would have required the help of a local veternary hospital (which I decided against even asking), I've decided to do another production-style QuickVid.

I'm not sure if this one will be funny, or just weird, but I'm going to try and make the best of it. Had three potential ideas, am going to go with the idea that popped in my head as I was trying to fall asleep last night. Video thoughts actually do haunt me at night and even keep me awake sometimes. Best to let them out!

PLEASE don't let this take too long! Last week's FOUR hour production time was a major bummer... but I liked the way it came out (I mean for a rush-job like that).

Todd, I think you deserve an award for this weekend's QuickVid! This is the best production-style vid you've done to date.

The effects are just awesome for such a short vid, even if they did take YOU a long time and drove you a bit nuts.

Yeah, the production times for these production-style QuickVids are driving TOTALLY nuts! But when they turn out well (or at least don't suck too much), I'm happy.

Thanks much! I thought it turned out ok, considering it was rushed (they all are). Even rushed though, they often take so damn long! I hope I didn't raise the bar too high though. Not all the QuickVids are going to be better than the last. I often have no idea how well they'll turn out until I finish them... OR will people dig them or not. What I may find entertaining isn't always what others will.

Wow - thank you! That means so much to me! I really do have trouble keeping up with these things sometimes. I have bad days, and I don't feel like doing something silly or creative, yet force myself to make one. I have ideas that I can't pull off and have to settle for something that I can pull off. And my production-style QuickVids have been taking me longer and longer to complete - probably because I'm getting too ambitious for what my not so state-of-the-art tools will allow (given the time constraints, etc.).

Many times I've considered just doing Weekly QuickVids instead of daily - would be MUCH easier on me. But I keep pushing myself. I want to see if I can keep it up for an entire year. Not sure I'll be able to pull it off, but I'll give it my best until I just can't maintain them daily anymore.

Again - I really appreciate your recognizing the amount of work and effort that goes in to these. Some are done in minutes, other take several hours. But they all require some degree of thought, time and effort. I only hope they keep people entertained enough to keep checking back for more.


To EVERYONE who's been checking my QuickVids and giving me some feedback. I really appreciate that so much! I love goofing around with video and strange visuals. This whole thing has been a lot of fun (even though it has also been a lot of work). I'm learning (or trying to) what people find entertaining.
