Please forgive the very self-indulgent nature of this thread, but I just wanted to share a couple of additions to my website with my TRON-Sector friends.

I have a pretty constant (and modest) stream of visitors to my site and experience traffic spikes from time to time - generally whenever some message forum has discovered a video on my site that they want to share with their forum friends.

I notice that I don't have a lot of repeat visitors which I imagine is because I don't have a lot of new things to offer. The video productions that I like to make take a loooooooong time for me to complete because of my lack of free time to make them and because they're often intricate and labor intensive with all the FX stuff I try and cram in them.

So I started a blog recently. But I doubt many people will take notice of my blog link for some time yet (or give a crap - most people just check out a vid or two or play a game and they're on their way).

So... what about a new short video greeting each and every day? Nothing with FX or any polished editing... just me, my phone-cam, and 15 seconds of whatever the heck comes out of my mouth.

Is that any reason for people to visit my site more often? Might there be some curiosity as to what this guy (me) has to say today? I dunno, but I'll give it a try for a while. Honestly, I don't have anything of great importance to say - it's just me talking... it may not even make much sense. But if I can save just one snowflake from the giant volcano of eyeballs, then I can call myself on the old telegraph and sleep with black socks on my feet at night... Actually, I don't say anything like that, but maybe I should. I think I like that better than what I've been saying.

I'm currently on day #2 of unique video messages.

What will I say tomorrow?

Oh, Todd, I showed some other fellow students in class your newer Weed Killer video last week while working on my last project in the Mac lab. One student in fact was really freaked out by you, er... your video that is. HA! The poor deprived lad has never seen Max Headroom nor knows who it is. Every time you gl-gl-glitched he shook saying how errie that way, especially having the speech jump and change pitch. Kinda funny eh? Ahhhh... I always loved that effect. Seems like the Rock-em Sock-em ring-robots were a big hit. Those little things are great! Robot fighting power - that fits right in your pocket!

For anyone interested, I'll be taking my QuickVids on the road this week. After Monday, that is - I already have Monday's planned. There's a little hint to Monday's theme in my current weekend QuickVid.

There are some fun things that can be done out on the road. I'm kind of a hermit (believe it or not), but we'll see how this goes.

I'm trying to line up a celebrity for some time this week. Not a local celebrity, mind you - someone who's nationally... no, INTERNATIONALLY known! I'd love to say the celebrity is TRON related, but it's not... well, not directly. I guess there could TRON tie-ins, depending on how you look at it, but no one who was actually in the film TRON.

AND my site traffic has increased since starting these Daily QuickVids. Impossible to say if it is a direct result or coincidence for now though.

Actually, just Lt. Warf. The carolers were not mine - found them in a neighboring town.

FUN FACT: While recording that bit (which I did a few times to be sure I got a good take), I heard someone come to the door (just behind me) and either open it then close it, or perhaps just make sure it was tightly closed. That's no joke. I got out of there fast shortly there after!
