The whole "____ of Doom" thing has been a joke of mine for a while. When you add "doom" to something, it makes it more epic sounding. Like "The Temple" alone is boring, but "The Temple of Doom" is a lot more epic and serious. The mere title alone implies you may loose your heart to an evil priest before being lowered in to hot lava!

Yeah - I'll probably work the "doom" angle some more. I do it in person all the time - why not in my video life too?

I'm glad you thought the effects were very professional looking too. I never really thought the effects in my QuickVids were very polished looking because they're all kind of rushed through production have noticeable side-effects of my shoddy tools because of that. Perhaps not everyone notices the little glitches that I do - and I'm just fine by that!

Thanks. To be honest, I've been having trouble keeping up with the daily QuickVids - and I think its showing - especially this week. When I come home from a hard day of work and then spend an hour on the treadmill (of DOOM) and then shower and eat dinner... I've got nothing left. Hard to be entertaining when I'm drained on the personal level. Glad the Valentine's bit worked for you though.

I think the Daily QuickVids will be morphing in to Weekly QuickVids sooner than I anticipated. I'd rather do fewer decent QuickVids than daily not-so-great ones. I'll probably blog about this next time.

Yup! The lake usually deflects the snow clouds back at us, when they try to move off. Or sometimes clouds do manage to cross the lake, and get "charged up" as they cross. The clouds pick up moisture from the lake and then we get even more snow. It's the same in the summer, with rain clouds.
