Yeah, the flashback had a slightly distorted look around the edges, like it was shot through a distorting lens. You do get a nice look at Tron's face for a couple of seconds when Clu asks Flynn if he's still to create the perfect system, and Flynn says, "Yeah...?". It was short, but it looked convincing to me. With Legacy under their belts, I expect a de-aged Bruce B in the next movie to look at least as good as Clu did in Legacy, probably even better. |
Don't forget the part just before that, too, is a better view when it shows the three of them standing....somewhere?...is it looking out over the city? Would love a screen shot of that (I know we have one somewhere around here of the part you mentioned).on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlinewhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online What do you want? I like sleeping too but maybe if I never got tired I wouldn't miss it! Eating, on the other hand...couldn't live without chocolate and coffee and hummus and stuff, sorry. I'd still be making energy-vegetable stir-fries, dammit.
I'd definitely die without nature. My poor OC goes out to the Outlands in my fanfic, but you gotta admit it's not the same. I love rock formations, but when that is ALL there is?? Flynn's digital form is *data*, and data/files can be defragmented/re-compiled. It's just a matter of locating all the data fragments and re-compiling them. |
That was my take on it too. I wonder if they are going to make it sort of like Star Trek III, but it will be "The Search for Flynn" instead |
Okay, forgive me if I am wrong, but I don't think Flynn could be brought back into the real world, since his matter has been used by Quorra (unless she was brought back into the Grid)
I think I am missing the point, if you are just talking about Flynn being recompiled On-Grid, then yes, I believe it is possible if he was in fact a digital file. My belief is since Sam bled, Kevin would bleed, and therefore not be digital at all
|
I can certainly imagine him being reconstituted on the grid, and perhaps he could be brought back to the real world by just using some other raw materials. Like maybe they can digitize a desk or something and then just use those atoms to re-build his body.
In any case, I'm sure they can come up with some way to do it. |

He may not be. His digital form is code, and might be able to be re-compiled....
Spock was "dead" too, but was brought back... In sci-fi it's still a possibility to bring back "dead" characters in some way....

Star Trek was a reboot. Leonard Nimoy agreed to appear to give the film a reason for the timeline change, and pass the baton to the younger generation.
T:L is not a reboot. It's a sequel. Bridges was not passing the baton to a new younger character, Sam, at least I hope not. He is as important to any future film as Boxleitner would be, now that he's the CEO of ENCOM again. I want everyone there, plain and simple.

Sorry, I wasn't referring to your statement so not criticizing that. What I meant was people who refer to T:L as a reboot, which happened at another site I was on, so let the oldsters pass the baton nonsense was rampant there.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

well.. i never was refering to or implying Tron Legacy as a "reboot".
I was just refering to how in alot of sci fi films sometimes "dead" characters have been brought back in some way. So it's a possibility to bring back Flynn in some way in
"Tron 3" in my view. That's all I was saying.
I do feel that Bruce Boxleitner and Jeff Bridges should both be in "Tron 3". It would be far too sad if Flynn is totally gone forever... on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlinewhere to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online "The film is about finding human connection in an increasingly digital world." - Joseph Kosinski

I have mixed emotions on this. On the one hand, I love the character of Kevin Flynn, and I can't imagine any Tron movie without him playing a significant role in it. However, I kinda hope that they don't resurrect him in Tron 3... like others have said, it would almost "cheapen" the fact that he made the ultimate sacrifice, since it's not an ultimate sacrifice anymore.
Others have mentioned the idea of him returning as some kind of "Grid Ghost", and I think that might be a cool way to "bring him back", so to speak, without cheapening his death in Legacy. It might offer a lot of possible dramatic/character material to have Sam find his father again, only to realize that he's just a ghost that cannot be brought back to the real world. Really, there's a lot of storyline potential there when you think about it, but only if handled properly.
That's my input, anyway. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Well when Spock was brought back from the dead in "Star Trek III" it didn't cheapen his sacrifice to save the ship and crew at the end of Star Trek II in my view.
I don't think it would "cheapen" Flynn self-sacrifice for Sam if Flynn is brought back in some way. Maybe not broight back to the "real world" but return as an ascended digital entity within the Grid, that would be sufficient at least.

You also risk the chance of it turning into Star Wars though - like only a Jedi can return as a ghost.
Flynn with all his meditating though would certainly have a good chance of figuring that out.

He didn't die at the end!
What movie did you watch... I seriously can't believe that is the "Consensus" on this board.
He collapsed. Prolly exhausting engulfing a being you created into yourself... (I'm guessing)
I can't prove it... I didn't make the movie, but he was still telling sam to "GO" after he collapsed... I figured he wanted to stay in a world where he was a GOD...
(I have a feeling I'm gonna get Flamed for this btw...) I Know TRON wouldn't be TRON without Kevin Flynn... I'm just sayin:
FLYNN LIVES!

Flynn's digital form exploded then the wave of energy then imploded into a single bright point of light. It is unknown if Flynn automatically reformed or if his data was scattered across The Grid.
If he comes back as a digital, ascended "spirit" that would be cool I think, where Flynn is an extension of The Grid itself, that'd be fine IMO.
If all the fragments of his data making up Flynn's digital form was scattered across the Grid, I could see the Spiritual Faction of Programs searching and finding each fragment so they can recompile and restore Flynn. Just hope his mind is still in their. Hopefully in one of those memories, Flynn's mind still is in there somewhere enough for someone to reconstruct it.
