I heard that line as "Human Formed Digital Space" implying a digital world that took a form analogous to the real (human) world.

I'd like to think they adapt the story of the Egyptian goddess Isis that finds all the pieces of Osirus to restore him to his full living form.
My idea is that the Spiritualist faction of Programs (you see one of them drop to her knees into a prayer pose after Flynn walks by her in the End of Line Club) go on a holy quest across the Grid to recover all the data fragments of Flynn, and they have a way to re-compile and restore him using a re-compiler routine of some sort.
To bring Flynn back to the real world, the laser would have to digitize some raw materials for the system to re-structure the matter patterns and maybe re-materialize Flynn back in "the real world".
But it could also be interesting if winds up possibly being a kind of "digital ghost" in the machine. Sort of like he's a "ghost in the machine" but still able to manipulate things and interact with The Grid....

Flynn's digital form is *data*, and data/files can be defragmented/re-compiled. It's just a matter of locating all the data fragments and re-compiling them. |
That was my take on it too. I wonder if they are going to make it sort of like Star Trek III, but it will be "The Search for Flynn" instead |
Okay, forgive me if I am wrong, but I don't think Flynn could be brought back into the real world, since his matter has been used by Quorra (unless she was brought back into the Grid)
I think I am missing the point, if you are just talking about Flynn being recompiled On-Grid, then yes, I believe it is possible if he was in fact a digital file. My belief is since Sam bled, Kevin would bleed, and therefore not be digital at all
|
I can certainly imagine him being reconstituted on the grid, and perhaps he could be brought back to the real world by just using some other raw materials. Like maybe they can digitize a desk or something and then just use those atoms to re-build his body.
In any case, I'm sure they can come up with some way to do it.

Sounds like a cool idea. I'd love to see at least a fan fiction story do something like that.
If "resurrecting" Flynn is a part of the 3rd movie though, I'd rather that be a relatively small part of the story, and the rest had to do with an outside threat of some kind (Dillinger Jr. maybe).

yeah it would be one aspect of the story, the other of course would involve the machinations of Dillinger jr, and well he said "Encom OS 12" was the most secure OS ever.. so maybe there's a militant Security Program from E OS 12 that resembles Jr. and could play a part in "Tron 3" as well...where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

OH! I get your point now. That'd work. They can find a way to do it. UNfortunately, Uprising isn't taking place right after the events of Legacy, so we'll have to wait for 1. A graphic novel, or a regular novel. 2. A game for various consoles 3. the 10 (or is it 12?) part mini series that will be on Disney.
Which, I heard has already been canned

I understand your view, but I have a question.
If They, Kevin and Sam, existed as digital code, how would you explain Sam's bleeding when he's hit By Rinzler?
|
it's not really blood, just a construct of every single atom and molecule that existed in his body in the physical world. |
If they are that precisely modeled, then of course they would age. We don't see Sam "bleed" for the rest of the film, or run out of "blood" from doing so. This means two things, he is healing and his body is generating "blood". If his biological processes are working to heal him, then they are also working to age him and his father.
The computer would accomplish this by altering their "pattern" over time, adjusting for the process of aging...such as shortening Telomeres and allowing for DNA to be compromised. Basically allowing the "program" of Human genes to run it's course. Since the Human body ages according to Earth time the computer makes those changes according to Earth time. Flynn ages slowly in Grid time as a result.
When you get down to it Flynn did age in The Grid, so...aren't you basically peeing into the wind on this one?

IIRC, it's a series of micro-episodes of the cartoon they will show leading up the the premiere of the real thing.

That's gonna be an awesome movie if they going to resurrecting Flynn (or reconstructing Flynn in the cyberspace) and having a new villain, "Sark 2.0" like ShadowDragon1 mentions it. I was wondering if they could bring the ol' MCP guy back with his ugly face, but more stronger and more better than the last one.

IF that were the case It would be a simple as healing Quorra's "damaged code" and regenerating it and as Flynn said disease would be history. Bringing humans to the Grid to live virtually immortal lives free from the disease and aging that affect them in the real world would no longer be a threat to our survival.
I think the real question you should ask yourself is if Users can bleed, do they also have to pee and take a core dump in cyberspace?

That "pig" and the other "food" is like the "water" from the original movie, it's just energy in alternate simulated forms.
If I was stuck on The Grid for what are thousands of "virtual years" I would get bored of only drinking blue "water" all the frakkin' time. I'd just "taste" something other than "liquid", you bet I'd create some simulated pork, steak, green beans, etc... I think Flynn had that kind of thinking on it.
