We had an *excruciatingly* boring conference call... so I drew this just to keep myself awake.
Thought I would share....

That's great!
I love it.
I used to sketch (or try to) TRON stuff ALL the time when I was in school. I'd draw light cycles and recos everywhere. Sometimes grid bugs, spheres, and try to draw the solar sailor, but the sails were hard for me.

Dude, that is way better than anything _I_ could do casually off the top of my head. Of course, I kind of stink at Tron-style artwork in general. Straight lines and geometric shapes have never been easy fo me to draw. Heh.
Anybody here ever tried to do anything Tron-related (or just making an actual picture of some kind, in general) with the Falling Sand Game? I ask because I got bored enough to try that the other day. I was wondering if anybody else here was insane enough to try that. :P

Yeah, I wish. I would kill to have 1/5th the talent Sketch has.

Perspective is a major problem for me too. I can see the image in my head, but then cannot translate that very well onto paper. You can see a few clouds and lines that are a bit wonky I guess that's why god bequeathed us erasers.
Thanks for all the kind words. Maybe this can be an ongoing thread for anyone else's doodles.

Wow - neat doodle, Boingo! I occasionally do little Tron drawings when I'm bored in school, but I can only about manage a bit. In form.

Are we allowed to post our own art work on this topic? If not I'll take my drawing down.
Here's Homestar Runner (or Homestar Tronner, as I like to call him ) all digitized.
BTW, I gotta upload my 11-year old brother's TRON artwork. It's really awesome!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Ha! That's great, Mr. Sinistar. I love it. Although, Homestar appears to either be wearing white spandex pants _all_ the time as it is...or he's naked besides the shirt and hat, it's hard to tell. :P
Anyway. These next ones really ARE just "doodles"...I fully acknowledge that they're not very good. But when you're foolishly trying to create actual controlled pictures with The Falling Sand Game, it's the thought that counts! :P
Whoo! FEAR my sloppily drawn attempt at random computer...stuffness! And the extremely deformed Recognizer! Yeah!
Not her final design...I haven't worked that out yet. But trying to draw a _person_ with this thing is insane. No, I didn't hack it or use any tools other than what they give you. I just used them in somewhat unorthodox _ways_...
Anyway, I like the expression, the pose, and the way she's "rezzing in" (or out, possibly)--to represent the fact that she's half and half, of both worlds.
And finally (out of the Sand-pictures), to prove that I HAVE indeed gone over the deep end...
I dunno..I think for how it was drawn, it's not TOO terrible, resemblance-wise...
(I do like how the letters turned out...I mean, _you_ try drawing the Westminster font free-hand. With your WRONG hand!)
Last but not least...this is all YOUR fault, Mr. Sinistar! _You_ started me down this path! (This was drawn with MSPaint, not the Sand Game (of course).)
Don't ask me how she got hit by the Digitizing Laser while wandering around outside. It's not supposed to make sense. (snicker)
EDIT: If these are too large, I can change them to just links. But I wanted to make it so you could see the Falling Sand Game controls at the bottom (and read them) to prove that that's how I did it. :P

Dude, I wish _I_ could draw geometric things, mathematical type stuff, straight lines, etc. so well with just my hands! But as I like to tell my friends, "I can't draw a straight line even WITH a ruler!" (Which is true--just because I'm using a ruler doesn't necessarily mean the line I'm drawing is going to be the ANGLE I wanted it to be..."straight" as in "not wavery" doesn't necessarily mean "straight" as in purely horizontal or purely vertical across the paper.)
The only way I can make things look even remotely TRON-ish is to draw them _on_ a computer, where lines are automatically straight for me, colours are bright and pure so I can make them look "glowy" against a dark background, circles are perfectly round and I can copy and paste if I want more than one thing that looks exactly identical. Heh.
In other news, for those of you who saw the HomestarRunner parody picture before, I have spiffed it up a bit. Decided it needed shading (why didn't I put that in before? I almost always do, even with "joke" pics) in the first panel.
--Then put in some random digital nonsense in the middle panel, which really needed...something. Note that I have NO idea what (if anything) I may have said with that binary stuff, so if I, for example, inadvertently cast aspersions upon the ancestry of anyone here, I heartily apologise. :P
--And finally, went further towards the "Mercury" look that I was kinda thinking of, for the last panel. What made me choose Marzipan in the first place was her hair is shaped not too terribly unlike Mercury's...head.....stuff (what _is_ that? Hair? Helmet? Something else?) so I made the head part look more like that and gave her a staff. Hey, Homestar Tronner has a disc; the other characters should have weapons too!
The scary thing is...I think those miniature Recognizers in the background are like, the best Recognizers I've ever drawn....well, I guess the ones in that painting I did long ago weren't too bad. But that thing's WAY too big for the scanner so you'll all just have to take my word on that.
So anyway. Yeah. And Boingo, if you think it's kinda rude for me to post FOUR large pictures of my own directly into your thread, let me know and I'll turn them into just links. I'll also do that if they're making anybody have to scroll the screen sideways at all to read the thread--I hate that, myself, so I definitely wouldn't want to inflict it on others.

There are two words in that sentence that strike me as odd. One of them is 'moment'. It amazes me that you can draw these little sketches so well, but that you can do them in just a 'moment' is just... impossible!
...wait a second...
Sketch is a robot! I knew it! I don't know why I didn't see it earlier...
Ahem... aaaanyway...
The second one is 'doodle'. You're making these really cool, sketchy masterpieces and still call them 'doodles'? You must have some kind of vocabulary glitch. Because YOU'RE A ROBOT! NYAHAHAHAHAAAA!
...
I know these things.
Anyway - awesome drawing! I love the Recognizer's little banner . Awesome job on Sark's carrier! Just a shame it's going to as soon as Sark departs... Oh, and I love the red program's headgear!where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Awesome sketches, Sketch! That program to the right, who looks like he's think or frowning, looks like Bruce Campbell! I LOL'd when I looked at the recognizer with the "MCP RULES!" banner.
BTW, did you use alcohol-based markers to render that program with the headgear?
Here's my 11 year old brother's drawing:
Let me explain what's going on here: The two red cube guys are computer Viruses and they're fishing on the "Sea of Simulation" . He even added the "computer bubbles" from TRON (complete with eyes) . I think the drawing is really clever, considering the fact that this is done by my little brother. You can also see that he beats the snot outta me when we compare our drawing skills.
