I just took my camera apart, twice. I don't think it's possible to get to the A/V, USB and FireWire ports even when you take it apart, so I'll either need to get it repaired (I think the warranty has run out) or just get a new one.

The only problem with getting a new one is that I certainly wouldn't want a new Digital 8 tape camcorder, but then I can no longer watch or import anything from old tapes. So I might do both - get this one fixed, then splash out on a new one (once I've saved up some money - I ran dry after my bank account met my microKORG! )

Amazingly, I didn't lose a single screw, and other than the FireWire port, it still all works now I've put it back together!

You know, that's not a bad idea! I'll take a look around for cheap analogue capture cards. Thanks!

I was working on shot 04_04 last night but I forgot to save the blend file. Fortunately, I didn't work on it too long so I didn't lose a lot of work.

Sorry about the delays in production recently. There's several reasons for the delay. I've been trying out Halo CE and the Halo Editing Kit lately and let me tell you; making mods for Halo is a huge pain in the butt. All I want to do is make my own MP map (a TRON one hopefully ) and the stupid 3D modeling programs that Bungie wants me to use are too overly complex and expensive. I downloaded GMax (a free, unsupported version to 3D Studio Max) and it's impossible to find an easy way to export a Halo model to Blender. After a bunch of text copying and script running, I got Master Chief into Blender.

Anyway my point is, I was thinking about possible Easter eggs in our movie (Hidden Mickey from TRON comes to mind) and...um... let's just say Master Chief might make an cameo appearance...

The other reason is my mom.

My mom is starting to crack down on the computer times allotted for my brothers and I. Unfortunately, the whole time I'm allowed to spend on the computer is TWO hours every day. Of course, this is not enough time to even complete one shot, so the production will probably slow down until I can convince Mom to give me more time. I'm not saying the movie is in hiatus, but the time between new shots will increase. My mom and dad are great parents who want me to have a great time and work on this movie, but they're just saying schoolwork comes first.

I hope everyone understands and I appreciate that NoExcuses and Chikan have stayed on this project. You guys are the best.

Hopefully, by the end of this weekend I'll get a shot uploaded, but we'll see.
