Actually, I'm glad you brought that up, Dakota Bob.

Unfortunately, due to the costs of making good-looking costumes and finding actors to play the programs, the movie will be made completely in CGI. However, that doesn't mean we can't have any voice actors.

I recently asked a friend of ours to do some dialog for the movie and he argeed. So be sure to expect great voice acting!

Uh... what game?

Are you coding your own game? Awesome!

That's why this movie is called the open source Tron project. Any one can take a look at the .blend file meshes and use them for their use as long as Chikan, NoExcuses and I are credited. Just in case, ask Chikan for permission to use the recognizer and tank models.

Sure - sounds cool, so long as you have a use for a slightly Northern British accent!

Another irrelevant note: I've done a second test for the Take on Me parody. I traced 12 frames from the upcoming A Giant Face II (which is nearly finished - I just need to borrow a friend's Digi8 camcorder so I can transfer the final bits of footage). The first test had too little detail, and the second had way too much (taking around 12 minutes per frame!). So, I'm going to try again and find a nice point in between, and then I'm going to record it with a few friends. I've also started to record a parody of the song, played on none other than Monsieur MicroKORG.

Hey, I could do a voice! You want me to dress up in white spandex in public you're on your own, but I can do a voice. :P In fact, I've already acted in an "Internet Radio Drama", as one of the main characters. I'd be more than happy to voice-act in something else. It's fun!

As far as voice work goes... I'm game... I've been told I have a 'good radio voice' or something... LOL.. If I try, I can sound like that guy who does the voiceovers for movie trailers & whatnot.. (He was on a geico commercial recently, if I remember correctly)

So yea, whatever parts you need a good, deep, bass voice for, lemme know... LOL

Hey guys,

Some crazy crap is happening on my computer. Adobe Contribute 3 (my FTP and HTML editor) is not working and I can't upload files to the movie's website at this time.

Also while working on shot 01_14 I accidentally clicked on the wrong button and I didn't get to save the .blend file.

Fortunately, the shot was completely rendered and finished but I lost my tank "targeting reticle" mesh.

I think something corrupted Contribute so I'm going to uninstall and reinstall it.

Yeah, we can use a British accents! Sark wouldn't have sounded as menacing as he did in the movie if he didn't have a British accent!

BTW, what microKORG patch are you going to use for your parody song?

We do need a female voice for the OS and the previous voice acting is a bonus, so you would be great. I'll PM you with the lines.

You and Jimi (NoExcuses) can do the voices for some of the tank drivers.

As for me and voiceovers, I think I still sound too "squeakish" for an adult role. I don't want to end up sounding like Spongebob or something. LOL

Hey, do you need any more people for voice-overs? I have a good deep voice that would work well for a tank driver or the guy in the lightcycle that gets derezzed. Anywhere that you need me, I can probably fit in. I do a good impression of the radio announcer on Yahoo! radio.. you know, the one that says:

"I am a radio announcer! I have a deep voice. I can say anything and make it sound good. Like: threesome! applesauce. kinker sore!"

LOL. Not

'ing at the fact you maybe have a deep radio announcer voice -- that's kinda cool -- but the fact that you mentioned two roles in the movie that have high voices: Tank driver: "Leaving protective fieeeeld...", or light cycle driver that crashes: "*Aighgggghhhh!!!*"
