I for one am really looking forward to this.
I was worried that Disney would screw it up, but it sounds like they've chosen an interesting and innovate new way of going about this.
Well - it's just a matter of months now.
Anyone want to start a Star Wars like line-up for this one?

Especially when I saw a KH2'ish Goofy as an image. Indeed, you are trying to pull a fast one on us. Spoiler Alert!! --> TheReelTodd is full of it!!  I guess time will tell if this news spreads like wildfire and ends up on the evening news with Jay Maynard (The Tron Guy) commenting on it! I should only hope, to help drum up support for a true, honorable sequel. I was wondering what the site's trick was gonna be after the 'Who's Online' section told me that Sketch was viewing a topic on the admin forum called 'TRON-Sector April Fool'

I wanted to get it posted before April 1st because I wasn't sure what time I'd be online Saturday. Not to mention, I wanted to have it ready in time for our friends across the pond as they were waking up and hitting The Sector. Turns out I am up fairly early today after all.

Yep - just bad April Fool's joke.
I tried to come up with the most absurd sounding things and yet still give it a hint of reality just to make some people scratch their heads wondering.

I knew it wouldn't fool everyone, but I figured it might at least still make ya grin.
And I did try to go for a really absurd, yet just slightly believable angle. There's been discussions of how bad they might screw up the next TRON film, and I used that as the premise for the gag article.

You know - I was wondering if that was going to give it away. When I started that topic in the admin forums, I forgot that anyone could still see the topic title in the who's online window. I removed it the next day and used a different topic heading, but I feared the damage was already done.
The gag actually went through a few different variations as DaveTRON, Sketch, and myself all shared some ideas.
Hope you still enjoyed the ridiculous article.

Godd one Todd. I knew it was a joke right away but it's in the spirit of the day. You could have also called it "Tron Movie II" and had Leslie Nielson and Charlie Sheen act in it.
