I'm proud to say that I've seen 72 Reel QuickVids, and they were all great. It's a shame it's come to an end, but like they say, all good things must melt in a fiery ball, preferably in full view of several different varieties of hobgoblin.

The videos were all great, and I especially liked this one, with everybody's comments on the QuickVids (and Ron's fondness for things of a shiny disposition). And finally, a whole bunch of people doing the Tongue-Face!
And you reached the milestone video of 72!
At least you didn't do a recap montage sequence to happy, floaty music, with reverb on all the audio, and slow-motion clips.
72 is a nice, round number for the QuickVids to end on, I think. Yup. Niiiiiiiiice.

I think the ad is just a generic one from Todd's hosting, but for some reason shoved onto the QuickVid (if you click the video at the end, it takes you to the site). Either that, or Todd's doing something crazy on us all...

Nope - no montage with sappy music and everything in slow motion - just a quick retrospect and some tongue-faces. It worked.
Who can forget hidden messages? Hidden messages are like internet disappearing ink, or something like that. And 72 was the magic number, I guess. :-)

Thank you, TronFAQ. The QuickVids were troublesome to keep up with at times. I have several un-produced QuickVid ideas, but time and lack of location and help made some of them very hard to ever produce. I was hoping to make at least 100, but it was time to end them when I did. I'm very happy to have made some smiles along the way too.

And no, I'm no done making videos. I couldn't stop if I tried - and I HAVE tried before! I always end up back on the digital editing deck of doom. I'm a sucker for punishment.




I really appreciate everyone's kind words about my QuickVids - it means so much to me. I'm kind of regretting calling that last one "The End" though. I'll probably produce more QuickVids in the future, BUT they won't be greeting videos specific to my website. That format was kind of a bad idea and very restricting.

In the future, I'd like to produce more QuickVids in the flavor of general short comedy bits (or just short weird bits). Videos that will not be date stamped and not come out at regular intervals. They'll still be QuickVids in the sense that they'll be quickly produced and be short in duration - perfect for that short attention span in today's audiences. I'll be taking a break from them all together for a while though. There are other projects I've been wanting to explore. One of them might even make it through to completion.
