IluthraDanar,
Here's a link to a video of Anis Cheurfa, the actor who physically played Rinzler.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnL4Abie4Ps
There are tons of other videos out there that showcase his abilities, but this will give you a little introduction to the "tricking" moves he does and performed in the movie. Actually, several of the shots in the Sam/Rinzler disc battle scene where Rinzler is flipping through the air in slow motion, those shots were actually filmed with a 1000 frame per second Phantom camera. It's pretty amazing all the state of the art technology that was used to make this film. I still can't believe it didn't get nominated for more Academy Awards. Oh well, maybe with the next movie, they'll take notice.
EDIT: I found another video that actually shows what I stated above..LOL!

No I don't think you have disdain for the movie.
My post was not meant to be taken as any kind of over-reaction.
I just don't see the point in pointing out each and every little minor thing that's all, nothing more.
Now how about Flynn's hair, it's supposed to be blonde not white and grey! j/k

Well, since its been some 28 years since the last movie, one can rightly assume that his hair would change colors.
He was in his, what? early to mid 20's in the first movie?
He must have had some grey grown in after all that time.
Now, I'm kidding

Hell, we've picked apart every other little plot hole in detail, including massive arguments about whether said thing actually IS a plot hole. Might as well be thorough.
I still wonder, though, if they didn't do it intentionally. Seems to me it'd be SO easy to disguise with some tricky filming. I don't recall noticing throughout any of the Harry Potter films that Alan Rickman is short! (Or so I've been told) I just find it hard to believe they'd overlook something like that. Some characters (like Snape, yes) just ought to come across as tall, and I would think there hero/badass would fall into that category. What do you want? I'm busy.

It was depressing in a way..
I mean i understand now that at the End I found out he was really Tron.
But at first I was like he's the greatest villain ever made!

Something bothered me about the double-disc thing. It looked cool and all and it kinda gave us that Darth Maulish type of moment like "OMGZ he has TWO!" but for the purposes of a tournament, it seemed off. If it was just a battle somewhere then fine, but isn't Disc Wars supposed to be a sport? |
Think videogame. Disc Wars was more like a fighting game than anything.
Rinzler was the last boss, and the last boss in most fighters usually has some sort of crazy advantage over ordinary characters. (Anyone who's played an SNK fighter knows what I'm talking about here. >.>)order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Well, I assume Rinz is the end of the line in the disc games. And if Clu meant for it to be a way to dispose of troublemakers, then you can't have them even coming close to winning in the end, so he had to stack the deck a bit. Also, I bet it's in part psychological--intimidating, y'know.

Well, they did have a white outer ring...I found that sort of telling. Perhaps that should've been a clue to Clu that he didn't quite finish the job... What do you want? I'm busy.

Oh yeah, that crossed my mind too and I forgot to bring it up before... because if everyone who survives the elimination rounds has to face Rinzler, then absolutely nobody has ever survived a disc match.
I guess that's "OK" but generally if you want to make an event that people want to follow over a long period of time, its better to give your conscripts a chance to make a name for themselves, instead of slaughtering all of them their first time out.
That's how it worked under the MCP anyway. You'd never earn freedom, but you could keep fighting as long as possible. Win a match, go back to the pit cells, and then do another match the next day.

I suppose it's also possible that that IS how it works usually, and Rinzler was only called out because Sam "cheated" and couldn't be allowed to continue playing?

Maybe this is to make it more like gladiatorial days. In Gladiator, the movie, they unleashed more and more 'impossible things' to get away from to survive. And the crowds watched. Assuming Hollywood was portraying an accurate picture of history, like they always do, then perhaps Rinzler was that final 'impossibility' to survive. Basically "no chance" to win, and the crowd liked it just like gladiatorial days.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online
