If it were an election or osmething, yeah, people would care. But dude... fanboy activism isn't something that politics are gonna matter in.

I suggest to press the new name which I have thought up Tron:Second Reality. It's a beautiful name.
Further it is necessary to involve friends from different projects and firms, such as type Motorola, Mozilla, Apple, and other.
Support of known people is necessary to us. It is necessary to make people believe in the third film, and that Disney need their support.
I can try to support musical sphere of our project.
It is necessary to find admirers of Tron among singers.

Awesome. I'll whip up a form-fillable PDF for people to use as a letter template sometime this week. I think LWS was going to make up a website? We can host it there once it's up.
Also, I vote let's focus on the first phase of the project and forget, for the time being, about the really elaborate ones that require oodles of planning and money.
The letter-writing campaign, as well as social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) is going to be enough, I think, but before we start looking at the expensive excruciatingly labor-intensive ones we need to get the basics down and put the later stuff on a backburner.
Celebrity endorsement isn't going to do much of anything if we don't have a campaign to endorse.

Been seeing this thread for a while now. Can anyone explain it to me? I don't feel like going through 5 pages of info to understand what this thread is about.
All I get from it "Online Campaign" that;s all

LWSrocks Wrote:Read my post on Page 4 where you see some digicons and the words "PHASE ONE" "PHASE TWO" and "PHASE THREE". That should fill you in. |
Wow sounds really fun! Wish I had the time to do this sort of thing. The letter writing would be fun, and if you could get Bumper Stickers and Pins going on, that would be killer.
You've probably already discussed this, though.
I can, however, participate in the letter writing part of this campaign, just tell me what info to put in it, and I'll get to writing as soon as possible "Reveal your creation date or I will disassemble your code one operation at a time!" |

I'd like to add that even if some of our ideas like the Lightcycle and Base jumper don't pan out, we can always come up with something else that would be just as cool but less expensive. We are good at coming up with ideas.
Oh, and maybe we need to come up with some ground rules like:
1. Do not do anything that would lead to injury or death. It leads to bad PR.
2. We will not do anything illegal. It also leads to bad PR.
3. We just want a Tr3n and to keep Tron in the publics minds. We do not want to be annoying fans.
Also, what if we made the Tron Lives website a blog?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I can put a blog feature on it easily. But like I said, I cant make a website unless somebody can pay for it. It won't be extremely expensive, maybe a few bucks a month. |
Oh, I meant instead of creating a website what if we just created a blog to fulfill our purposes? Aren't blogs free?

Don't go with webs. If no one wants to or can step up to buy a domain name, go with http://www.freedomain.co.nr/signup_basic.php
A whole lot more professional looking. Big time web hosters will still know it's a free job, but the casual passerby will not notice as easily, and it will seem less like a fan site, and more legit.

I sure as hell can't and won't since I am pretty much living check to check like so many others. There are 43 million people on food stamps, the economy and job market is in shambles. Anyone know what the cost for a web site would be. If we split the cost between a group of us I can't imagine it would be bad. I think the trick is to get enough people involved that no one has to carry the cost of anything by themselves. If 10 of us were involved I would think if each pitched in a couple of bucks it wouldn't be bad.

I think that it's 20 USD to purchase a domain name for 2 years. I'll verify that later.

I'm already paying for hosting w/unlimited bandwidth for my podcast so I'm willing to put up the 20 bucks for the domain name. Let's figure out what that's going to be. tr3nlives.com?

maybe tronlives.com? Edit:That's taken...
I was searching on Domain.com and it looks like the prices start at 8.99 for a .com and 10.47 for a .net.
I'd l help compensate if it's needed in a heartbeat.

Hey, could someone with the Legacy font send me a PM? It'd be awesome if I could get the .ttf emailed to me instead of buying it.
