Hey, yea I'm around just keeping a low profile. I didn't want to jump in and field a lot of questions since (to paraphrase something someone else said in this thread) I'm not an official Spinmaster representative, just a fan that happens to work at Spinmaster on the Tron toys. So, sorry to be cryptic and elusive.

Anyway,

Apparently (and I'm just basing this off the information that is shared with me) production and development of further waves and products is on hold. Sounds like the orders from retailers for the early waves has outweighed the demand from the consumers. I don't know exactly why so many orders were placed, because it would seem smarter to me for retailers to order less product out of the gate OR for us to sell less product out of the gate. I'm not a business-oriented guy, but to me it seems like that would allow them to test the waters on sales and allow us to get a greater variety of products out on the market. Because, of course you only need 1 x Rinzler and 1 x Jarvis etc if you're a collector.

Then again, if it was my company, I wouldn't be turning down orders either... so what the hell do I know...

So we're straight up not working on Tron right now. Apparently there is tons of inventory for the stuff that's already been shipped here from China, so that would have to sell through before more is produced, and that doesn't seem likely to happen anytime soon. Hopefully the DVD will help reach the kids (who I'm told did NOT watch the movie in theatres) and the toy sales will jump like crazy. It sounds like the kids who did see Tron loved it, but most parents weren't taking their kids to see it. $60 (or whatever...not including popcorn and candy) for a family with a couple kids to go out see a 3D movie is a lot of money, so I can understand that.

A statistic that surprised me: more than 70% of Tron Legacy toy purchases were made for people over the age of 18.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Guilty.... As charged, Wheat King.
Bummer news, but yeah... The Target's and TRU's in my area haven't really sold anything lately, (except to my adult, toy-buying ass And I hope you're right about the DVD reaching the kids. Movies are expensive to go to in general, so I'm hoping the hype just builds for all things tron after the DVD is released...
Hey Wheatking, can you answer just one in like a Thousand questions for you on here....
Sam Flynn + Tron Arcade.... WTF????

Thanks Wheatking. Yeah, makes no sense to me why the stores LOADED up on the KF lightcycles (big ones)....and there are TONS still left. Recognizer playset. Expensive Ultimate Sam and Clu. Geez. Seems like there wasn't any market testing in this at all...and now it's going to be clearance city for all that stuff that has like 2" of dust on it. Shame.

And I'm also interested in the action pack pics of toys from other countries shown in the following thread:

http://www.tron-sector.com/forums/default.aspx?a=top&id=410321
Very mysterious. And...what...like TWO people have ever SEEN the Sam+Arcade action pack set?? LOL.

We need some anwers....if possible...about this stuff that's unobtainable for most of the globe. Thanks on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Thanks for the info Wheat King! So there were too many orders of the initial wave and not enough sales to warrant more... So thats why some stores have them marked down. In that case, its the stores' fault for ordering too much of a good thing.

However, if there is still stuff sitting at Spin Master HQ that hasn't been sold, they could just open up an online store like Mattel did, and sell exclusively to the fans. Since the majority of the buyers were over 18, that sounds like a logical step to take. It means more of us Tron fans are the buyers and most interested in the toy line. Plus a lot of us have proven to go out of our way (online and off) to get them. I do hope sales pick up after the blu-ray/DVD release of the movie though. I can see that happening, since as a kid I didn't see Tron until well after it was on VHS.

I would be all for making figures available online, at an increased price to make up for the fact that the numbers wouldn't be as high as a retail release. So much of the tooling is already done that I think Spin Masters would make a nice profit from it. Here's the breakdown.

Helmetless Sam - Same body as core + scale down head that was made for Garrett.
Helmetless Quorra - Same body as core + existing unused Olivia Wilde sculpt.
Helmetless Tron - Same body as core Rinzler + new head (unless Spin Masters made the figure that was used in the movie, in which case they already have the head).
Helmetless Clu - Same body as core + new head (unless Spin Masters made the figure that was used in the movie, in which case they already have the head).
Clu in Robe - Core head, torso, and legs, with new pvc robe piece that slips over body + new arms.
Black Robe Kevin - Core head and body, with new legs from the knees down and pvc coat piece.
Castor - Complete figure already tooled.

That's 7 figures that Spin Masters would have to do little to no work on.

And if they wanted to make a new Siren body they could use that same body for a few different Sirens, and all they would need is a new head for each. They could even sell them as a siren multipack to ensure if people want one siren they need to buy them all.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

End of line

Would buy Zuse's line ^^^^^^

Thanks for the update WheatKing. It's disappointing but not surprising to me personally. I've spent a lot of time in various stores the past 60 days and can't remember one time I had to fight a child to get in front of the TRON line. In fact, the only time anyone even remarked while I was in the store was two 20 year old kids walking past and one said 'OMG they have TRON toys.'

For whatever reason the movie and toys didn't connect with kids, and they obviously help decide the toy market in the long term. I guess they will keep buying that Iron Man 2 crap while I load up on clearance figures for the collection

I wonder if tons of stuff is referring to series 1 & 2 or maybe this shipment just came in with series 3 too ? Just have to wait and see what happens.

Well, it sounds like if anyone is having trouble finding anything they have a second chance in April. I'm encouraged by what Wheat King said in that kids are still an untapped market for the film and the toys. Maybe things will blow up even bigger when kids have easier access to the movie. If Tron 3 is dependent on home video sales it sounds like our chances are pretty good.

What is weird is I live in a small town in Idaho and since the line was released the closest place I could buy the stuff was 30 miles away in Idaho Falls. I have a Wal-Mart and K-mart five miles away and I've never seen any Tron product at the Wal-Mart and the Kmart just barely put the toys out, two months after the movie came out. They had the three-man light jet, series 2 die cast, and series 1 figures.

Same thing killed the Indiana Jones line. Retailers ordered more than enough to meet demand and couldn't get rid of inventory even at clearance. My Toys Aren't Us still has leftover Jungle Cutters, Akator playsets and figures from 3 years ago they can't get rid of on clearance. I suspect Spin Masters will be dumping their inventory at places like Big Lots next. Was just there tonight in fact but no Tron there... yet.

Yeah, Wheat. If you could please confirm whether or not those last 5 action packs are going to see US distribution, it would be most appreciated. I have an order sitting on that German site, ready to go, but I would rather not pay $16 a pack for these (after shipping) if I don't absolutely have to. I have all of the action packs to date, including the Sam/Arcade set and just don't want to miss out on these 5 if they are indeed the last ones.

Thanks. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online
