I'll take some pics of the blue light cycle later today. The light cycle itself is exactly like the diecast ones, just plastic. Why the recognizer is listed as a playset, I don't know. I guess it can double as a playset and storage case for the diecast vehicles. I wouldn't worry about it or read too much into the 'title', it is a toy after all and can be played with however you like. Regardless it looks cool displayed with the vehicles or storing them.

strange that it's in-stock for shipping, but everything else is still listed as pre-order for oct 1.

All of the TRUs in my area that I have found the toys at (5 different stores) have pulled all of the toys to the back for the Oct. 1st release date. I spoke to one of the managers that I know well and he said that Spinmaster reps were going to the stores in the area and making them pull the toys until Oct. 1st. I heard that the shipping boxes do not even have street date labels on them, I wonder what the point in holding them until Oct. 1st is? For starters, let me just say that I am not trying to be nor am I am implying that I am dick however the reasons are pretty obvious as to why spin master has done this. While I would agree that the identity disk, while still being sold as of this writing, is still being sold it is not suprising; essentially entertainment earth & amazon had them available (now gone from being listed or out of stock) as well in addition to having the other figures (not all) for pre-order & majority of people gobbled them up. Additionally, most can be found on feebay which all of you know by now & again, you know what the outcome is on that end. The best analogy really for this situation is like breaking street date for a game yet, some stores do it regardless if/if not permitted to do so.

I just modded one of my 1:50 die cast toys out with an SMD LED in the engine compartment... check it out..

You guys should REALLY use VGA setting when taking your pics. When you have the camera on a higher setting the pics are huge, like the ones on this page.
