From TRU - I've gotten the following:
3" figure set (all 6 types)
Kevin Flynn Light Cycle
The entire die-cast set minus the solar sailor and what looks like a blade runner car (not clu's ship) from the supposed set picture.
Sam Flynn - Simple Disc - Frisbee.
I've seen the a lot of the light cycle race track - haven't bothered with that.
I'm out of Los Angeles.
Been an avid fan of Tron back since I watched it as a kid, it's what started my interest in computers - well that and wargames : ) |
That's what this thread is for.

Does anyone know the tru item number for the diecast vehicles and the case break down? Are there 7 or 9 vehicles? TRU UPC code for even one of the vehicles would be helpful.

TRU in Moreno Valley restocked - picked up a set and Flynn's Light Cycle. They also had the Pursuit Track but no signs of the die cast though. For those that have the 3.75" figs, did you notice that Sam's hands are fully gloved (rather than the glove not covering the middle and ring fingers as shown on the prototypes/back card) and Kevin's baton is white, rather than black (again, back of the card). More specifically it's October for the toys, and November for the graphic novel.
Aren't the Marvel comics coming out in October?

I believe they are serialized starting in October (graphic novel then comes out at the end of the following month), and the comic adaptation of the original TRON comes out in November (if I remember right). |

Recognizer Playset/Storage Case found:
Went to Universal CityWalk (at Universal Studios) last night and there is a really cool collectible shop that has been there for a long time called Things From Another World. They had the new toys, including the Recognizer playset. This is a great item, it holds all of the diecast vehicles and even comes with an exclusive blue light cycle. The light cycle is not diecast, it's plastic, which was a little disappointing, but still sweet none the less. I highly recommend picking this one up when you find it!

It's really so hard to keep track of everything so I'm just calling it oct/nov for /everything/. x_x Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

The recognizer is more of a carrying case than a playset correct? Is the plastic light cycle for the screen scenes line?

Not surprised that place is still around since i've been there during my teens. However, I'm sure it's expanded a bit more than compared to how it was inthe past as it was small however back then they had the hokuto no ken (fist of the north star) graphic novels that were difficult to get a hold of. Right on for you scoring on this one as well.
