That's exactly what they said about the above mentioned things.
Do you think the majority saw the benefits of these things at a time where no one was thinking about it? When acting was all facial expressions and body language, no one gave a damn about speech.
When story didn't rely on color (and still doesn't at all), no one gave a damn about color.
We don't see the use of 3d because no one has used it properly yet. No one will in a long time. It will take a generation or two and then it will become a standard. That's just how it works.

I think it's more of a reoccurring fad. Like in the past, it will be really popular for a couple of years and then it'll go away. Then a couple of decades will pass and it'll come back using better technology. Sort of redundant.

Remember that in the early drafts of TRON and in some concept art/photos, Flynn was transported into the computer world with his street clothes. However, the budget wouldn't allow it and there was no such technology. So they simply cut out the part where he gets his circuits and just gave them to him as soon as he got inside the computer.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill 01010100101001010111110011110 |

No. You see the tech is out there. It works the same way the video cards that play when you tilt them work. Instead of multiple frames of something, it would be multiple views of the same one subject. If you look at it, one eye will see one frame, and the other eye will see the other. This will create a parallax effect that would probably work no matter what angle you're viewing it at. It's how the Nintendo 3ds works. Alan: I was paged last night. Came from your dad's arcade

Yup, that's right. Proof's on the DVD and in some rare video composting test (back when Tron was suppose to be an animated feature film).
As for this 3D debate, I think it's simply a way of viewing it. The 3D is somewhat gimmicky but thanks to new technology it's cool too. Either way, it's doesn't effect the story.
For example, Aliens was shot in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, compared to Alien's 2:20:1 ratio. James Cameron changed it so that the special effects would be easier to make, but now he kinda regrets shooting it in 1:85. But if he did change the ratio, it wouldn't effect the awesome story.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

This bootleg greatly does not quite fully convey the massive epicness of the 8 minutes shown. In *RealD* it is clean, sharp and crisp.
The sound system in Hall H was booming and sharp and clean, surrond sound, omg this video just isn't the same as actually watching it there in-person.
My jaw dropped, which rarely happens, and if I could poop bricks I would of cause with the siren recited the lines about the Identity Disc and such from the original, my inner 8 yr old was squelling in happiness.

But seriously. There's no way to call a new (or extreme advancement of old) technology a gimmik when it's barely had a run yet.
PS: I think it's really freaking cool that most of the events and concepts in this film were things that were attempted in the first, but couldn't be done. It's just so damn awesome that we'll be seeing a bunch of undead stuff.
What we've seen so far of Garrett's acting isn't too good, but I expected nothing more to be honest. In fact, Tron isn't complete without some dodgy line deliverance. As long as he tries not to act overly excited constantly like whoever voiced Jet Bradley. Alan: I was paged last night. Came from your dad's arcade

As far as 3D goes, this is very different than past 3D. My wife and I were curious about this new 3D tech and decided to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. I was skeptical and thought of all the other 3d applications (Captain EO, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Muppets 3D, and PC Shutter Glasses) I had seen. Ghosting was constantly an eye strain on all of them. But when I had seen Alice with this new 3D tech, I was blown away. It felt so natural that I forgot I was watching a 3D film. Or that it was a film for that matter. I was on an adventure. And seeing the first Official Tron trailer in 3D... forget it. I was giddy.
With home entertainment equipment being equal to or better than what theaters had been using lately, 3D is very much needed to get the public excited about going to the theaters again.

As far as Tron Legacy goes, I'm excited about this film. But I'm careful not to set my hopes too high. Just like Star Wars episode I was a great Star Wars movie, but fell short story wise in comparison to the originals, this movie has the potential to do so also.
I'm already not crazy about all the black. I hope it plays into the story. And the world being too detailed physically is a little disappointing. On the Tron Anniversary DVD, I seem to remember Lisberger talking about how films try to use special effects to make things look real but Tron was the opposite. After all, the programs' world was always to be more rudimentary.
When it comes to hair in the computer world, I prefer the approach they took to Mercury's. If no helmet then geometric hair.
The lack of circuitry on the characters is a big downer for me too. That was a signature Tron look. I always took it that they didn't wear cloths, that the outfits were just what they looked like; apart of their being. That's why Flynn didn't arrive in street clothes. And just because they wanted to have him arrive in street clothes in the original doesn't mean they should start now. Lucas made similar mistakes when he tried to introduce his original ideas into the prequels that clashed with the original and EU.
For me Tron 2.0 captured the world of Tron to the T, as far as the look goes. The only disappointment was no Flynn and no Tron. But that game excited me from the first images I had seen. The pulsing energy. The geometric look. How all the edges of all the objects in the world had a slight glow to them. And plenty of color. It really felt as though the Tron world was alive. Lisberger seemed to have more involvement and influence in the game development than the new movie.
The new movie looks too real. Like it's set way in the future, using tech we haven't discovered yet and not in a simpler computer world. This, probably, has to do with Joseph Kosinski's background in commercials. Make outfits that use marketable clothing tech and vehicles that look like an auto commercial. Very glossy and metallic and not made of light and energy.
That being said, the movie is still very amazing looking and Tron enough to be distinct from any other movie created. And the story sounds really interesting so far. It's defiantly one of the most anticipated movies for me. Hopefully, I can build up enough cash to grab some of the memorabilia. There is so many ways they can go with the story. Not to mention the sequels. If Disney plays their cards right, this can be their Star Wars. Too bad Lisberger didn't own the rights to Tron like Lucas does with Star Wars. We might have had other Tron movies 10, 15 years ago. Shame on Disney for sitting on this property for so long. This video gives me lots of hope.

I agree with you on most things, like how the lightcycles and light runner create "smoke"... nevertheless reading Flynn's texts in the HelloFlynn.com website gave me another perspective of things... he's done that on purpose.

Seeing that the footage was released to the public (comic con attendants) in some fashion, why didn't they just put a high quality version of the footage on the internet like they did with the new trailer?
Its not like the footage isn't out there anyway.

imo, if they had kept the street clothes in the digital world in Tron, it would have made the flow of movie very awkward-- I mean, you would know that Flynn's the outsider right off (and so would everyone else!)
Even Tron 2.0 didn't do this.
That's my only issue with Tron Legacy-- quite "few" programs saw Sam in street clothes which is a giant red flag: "HAY I'M NOT A PROGRAM." It just bothers me a lot but I suppose I can put that one nitpick aside for Tron Legacy considering Flynn was already in the server. And as one of my friends commented that it's likely the street clothes appearing in the digital world is to show how more sophisticated the technology has become since then.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion
