If you menat the latest trailer of Tron Legacy I had already downloaded it on my linux machine over here as a MP4 from youtube so I do have a version of this as well over here too. I'm not going to take any chances of uploading it again over here and have them tear it down because of the copyright s and all that.

I'm just not buying Sam's Keanu Reeves reaction to the whole thing....
And 3-D's still a gimmick.

I think it's more of a reoccurring fad. Like in the past, it will be really popular for a couple of years and then it'll go away. Then a couple of decades will pass and it'll come back using better technology. Sort of redundant.
I don't think that 3D TVs are going to go over very well. I mean, I'd love to watch Dr. Who or other sci-fi shows in 3D, but I can't imagine watching the news with glasses on.

I would agree with you on this qixx. It seems to be a fad that is coming and going from time to time and depending on the technology that they are using to make it. But for thoe who are fortunate to see it in 3d will enjoy it. Myself I had tried a long time ago in order to see one and did not enjoy it at all since my eye condition. Thought that the movie was great but the technology 3d didn`t since I couldn`t use both of my eyes at the same time to enjoy the 3d effects on it.

You don't seem to understand.
Sam IS so kewl.
In all seriousness, though, I think he's kind of taking on some of his father's personality, which would make sense with him being raised mainly by Kevin and his mother dieing at an early point in his life. That definitely seemed like something a Jeff Bridges character would say.

If I have the choice to see Tron Legacy in 2-D or 3-D, I will see 3-D hands-down; even if it costs a couple extra dollars. Same with Avatar and several other movies and documentaries.

3-D doesn't effect the narrative in any way, shape, or form, unless the film itself is breaking the third wall, but even then the film would need to include you as a main character.
No, 3-D IS a gimmick, just more people are telling themselves that it's not because it ain't anaglyphic red/cyan anymore. ____________________________________

Actually, the 3D does effect the story (in a way).
According to Kosinski, the movie is 2D in the real world, and becomes 3D when we enter the computer world. I think this is to help the audience relate to how Sam sees the computer world as a radically different place in the same way that The Wizard of Oz's sudden switch to color film helped the audience to further relate to how Dorothy saw munchkinland as an entirely different place.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

When I was 9 years old, Tron was an entertaining film.
Now at 37, I have every reason to believe Tron Legacy will be an entertaining film.
They're not gonna do everything the way my fanboy brain says they should (I wouldn't have gone the "Evil Clu" route, for example, and the thing about Sam still being in his civilian clothes when digitized bothers me too), but I'm gonna enjoy it anyway.
I would hate to see Tron fandom undergo the same schism that Doctor Who did, for example.
But then, I didn't have a problem with the Matrix trilogy until about the last half hour of the final film, so what do I know, right?
I'm relatively new to these boards, and I don't want to step on any toes. But I'd hate to see this fandom go the way of so many others I've been a part of.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

That sort of sounds like the MCP in a way... Defying the user and taking (or at least trying to in a propaganda type way) the system. another layer of mystery to add while waiting for the movie. |

Color and sound was a Gimmick too.
Hell, movies are Gimmicks that will never catch on. Theater is where it's at.

Colour- Lets the audience see what the actors see, changes the narrative and story heavily because now they have more options between heavy plot devices that revolve around colour
Sound- So many things you can do with sound, the right lines can win oscars, the right soundtrack with those right lines can make a person laugh till they pass out or cry themselves like a baby
3-D- OH, YA, SO LIKE, YOU SEE THIS? WELL LIKE ITS IN THE FOREGROUND, SO YA, BECAUSE YOU COULD TOTALLY NEVER TELL THAT IT WAS IF IT WERE IN 2-D!!!1!!1!!
I can't think of one scenario where having a scene in 3-d could ever effect the characters in the film or have any impact on the narrative.
And dont say "LOL ITS HOW SAM SEES THE WORLD" because he see's the real world in 3-D too. Having the formats switch is just something creative that Kosinski is doing. Other than that, the 3-d will not impact the storyline, characters, subplots or themes in any way. ____________________________________
