Actually, it looks like some kind of encrypted message. I'm guessing there's gonna be some kind of deciphering puzzle to solve once the countdown is complete. Also keep in mind what VRAM mentioned about the number 5. Could be a helpful clue in deciphering assuming it's a code.

I had the site setup as a screensaver. Thought it was garbage on the screen. This is getting very interesting!

Very hard to decipher. Even the letters are broken up into tiny chunks/bits. The second row does have more letters though.
