I'm sure the game won't only be for the PS3. Whoever it was just happened to have access to the PS3 version.

Oniell Ford Wrote:Also a FPS for the PC. Because, like the wise TronFAQ once said, a video game about the computer world not coming out for PC is not right.
Absolutely agree with you. And him.

Did this person at Disney happen to give any hints as to who was making the game? I'm (unfortunately) guessing it's Propaganda.

Nice find.

I remember DaveTRON saying that the Richard Jeffries script was a very early draft, and a not very good one at that. It was pretty much thrown out and they started over again.

I'd say that this early draft isn't going to be very similar at all to the finished product. Besides, do you think Disney would allow a script that's anywhere near current or accurate to be leaked? That site would see a cease and desist order so fast . . .

The fact that the article doesn't mention Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis automatically tells me that this is not the final script...and I remember DaveTRON talking about the main bad guy before.

I like some of the character ideas mentioned and I hope they're included in the movie.

Yea I'm not really dissing the guy's abilities.... but if you go too far into fantasy land with the off beat characters, and world domination scenarios, in combination with - for lack of a better term, dried up, scared and weak cyberspace - in todays terms, it's bad.

It definitely needed simplification, because in written form, it's not like tron at all, or has reason that made TRON what we might think of TRON, like the author mentions.

But like he said and you Sinistar, there's some cool stuff in the plot, I agree with your take on it as well. I'm cynical at times... woops.

Hopefully sony won't hire a fake critic for better ratings. jk.

While some parts were good, i.e. Hacking into the old mainframe with an Apple Lisa, the fact that it seemed to completely ignore a majority of the "religious and technical themes" of the original film really kinda bothered me.

It's good this is not a final draft.

Yep, that is definitely hillarious.

I've always known that Disney pays attention to what we fans say and do, even if they remain silent. It's not a question of whether they're listening, so much as whether they'll take constructive criticism and do something about it.

Well, at least that more or less confirms that Propaganda is doing the game. Sigh. I pretty much knew they'd rather give it to an internal studio, than go outside for help.

I really hope they've learned some lessons from how badly they handled Tron 2.0, but I'm not holding my breath.

That would explain why I suddenly am now seeing X-Men: The Animated Series dvds after complaining about it long enough for the last five years.

---I mean, what?

And that, well, we were complaining about needing a Tron sequel and got Tron 2.0 instead which wasn't too bad but the lack of support seriously didn't help matters any.

What I'd love to see from Disney: MASSIVE support for Tr2n, period. No freaking out and acting like Tr2n never existed like the way they did with Tron and Tron 2.0. It makes us fans feel very abused with that sort of behavior and less likely want to invest in any of their other products.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I agree, religion plays a huge role in TRON and should be retained in the sequel. No buts. The excuse will probably be "Well in today's modern society we don't want to be insensitive to those who aren't religious." Well they can suck it up, or not watch the movie, their choice.
And I have a feeling that the whole idea that events in the computer world happen instantaneously will be thrown out the window, but I hope not.

Yeah, I do have motion sickness/sensitivity, but I was not expecting Cloverfield to set it off so badly that I simply could not enjoy the movie and have absolutely no desire to watch it on DVD due to my issues and not wanting to trigger it.

Heck, it was even bad enough that movie theatres had to issue warning about the movie causing motion sickness after people got sick. (A healthy reminder for filmmakers-- No Shaky Camera!)

ETA-- the really fun part about this is that I got motion sickness even though I was sitting all the way in the back. That point that seemed so go without question, that the construction of the ENCOM supercomputer brought with it the foundations of our civilization as if it had been reasoned out that creation was a mysteriously elaborately organized mechanism by which one believes. Similar to those ideas found in a book of creation, one glimpsing the first temple in a garden created from a unknown, unseen, yet to be fully understood power, and subtly so much we do know.

Yeah, I figured as much. This article was linked from io9.com which is how I found it, and it was fun to read, even if it has little to do with the final product. It was interesting to see the ideas that were bandied about.

I share your fears. Imo the orange was gone longer than Flynn. But lets hope Lisberger has retained enough of his say in this movie to keep it on the straight path.
But this Tony Lazlo fella at the cc2k, when it comes to analyzing TRON, seem like a master. Can someone recruit him to the sector?

Thanks to maxiekat, I'm checking twitter everyday for Tron updates. I found a guy named "Calan_b" - whom I'm assuming is an extra in the movie - briefly twittering on the set of Tron 2. He wrote:

On the set of TRON with wicked makeup!

I wonder if they're trying to do effects like glowing circuitry on the face or on flesh, like Sark's Lieutenant in Tron:

Man, this speculation is both aggravating and exciting! LOL I really can't wait to find out what they're doing on the set.
