I really hope they don't end up using the "Same Old S**t" technology:

I agree, religion plays a huge role in TRON and should be retained in the sequel. No buts. The excuse will probably be "Well in today's modern society we don't want to be insensitive to those who aren't religious." Well they can suck it up, or not watch the movie, their choice.

I also agree. The idea of a godlike persona on our plane of existence is still a fun idea to turn around with the humans being godlike to some other beings. The programs perspective of Users makes perfect sense. They would naturally be polytheistic if actually self-aware, though most loyal to their own creator(s).

I conjectured before that the script might be taking a Shadowrun approach with cyberland time being able to coincide with realword time as convenient. The original movie never showed a clock or real-world events for reference as to how long Flynn was gone. There was just the insinuation of morning after he grabs the printout. I'm not in the least bit religious.

I'm about as athiest as Douglass Adams was...

But come on, the religious overtones in Tron MADE the movie what it is. Not the CG, the execution.

Disney showed "some cool test footage" for Tron 2 at Cinexpo in Amsterdam two days ago. This was the same expo where James Cameron showed 24 minutes of Avatar, which is currently making its rounds on the internet.

In my Shadowrun experiences (1st thru 3rd editions), deckers were handled "on the side" by the GM. It was usual that someone on the physical run had some sort of comlink with the decker so that he could attempt hacks as needed instead of having the whole group take a long snack break while the GM and the decker played out the cyberworld scenario entirely.

In-game realworld time would "pause" as the results of the deckers actions were figured out since it was widely accepted that computers processed near instantaneously. While waiting for his services to be needed again, the decker usually had a security camera or other device to keep track of the team and watch the action. Yes, there are metaphysical issues to be ignored, but it worked in storytelling.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Every time I hear about James Cameron's Avatar, I can't help but think of his 20 minute speech about it at Ubisoft's E3 Press Conference.

I'm not seeing any Cinexpo footage on Youtube. Looks like there may not be any leaked TR2N footage from there.

But you know some people will get the footage from ComicCon.

The Cinexpo footage turned out to be the old trailer from last year, not a new one.

But there's a rumor that a new trailer is ready and will be shown at Comicon. I'm just wondering if Disney will release it online to the public this time, or hold on to it again. I think they'll release it this time. But maybe not right away? They might wait a few days/weeks.

The problem is, all of these events where the trailer has been shown, have been private industry events. Comicon was the only public event.

Everybody going to these other events is in the industry, and they won't risk their necks to put out a bootleg of a trailer. The only way we'll ever get to see last year's trailer in better quality is if: 1) It gets shown at a public event again, and someone is on the ball, or 2) Disney releases it online to the public themselves.

I don't think that's going to happen, especially since we're only a month away from another new trailer. Which I have a feeling Disney will release this time.

Eventually.

But the old trailer will probably only show up on the DVD/Blu-ray release, in a couple of years.

You're so cynical TronFAQ! Is the MCP getting the best of you? Have faith. Perhaps both trailers will be released by Disney in a day or two after the big event. They can't and shouldn't keep it only to private folks (1000 here, or 1000 there) for too much longer if they're going to try and get more people interested in seeing the film. Why not start the propaganda wave now? (Kind've rhetorical... no need to answer )

Unconfirmed Spoilers below:
As always, we should take anything that's posted on IMDb with a grain of salt...a BIG grain of salt.

I looked all over the internet on Amy Esterle and IMDb is the only place that mentions it. Not even her Twitter profile and her portfolio mention it.

The only thing that links her to Tron is that she's in Vancouver.

So, about how long do you people think we can expect this movie to be?

1.5 hrs to 2.5 hrs are general movie times.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Good question.

I compared Tron 2's shooting schedule with Transformers 2's shooting schedule. Transformers 2 took 84 days to shoot. Tron 2 has 92 days (more or less; I'm not a great counter ). Honestly, I don't know if more days equals more film length or not, but I guess it really depends on the script and if there's any deleted scenes.

...

Speaking of deleted scenes, does anyone think there should be a love scene in Tron 2 (along the same lines as the deleted love scene from Tron)?abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I agree. That deleted scene, while it's really neat to look at, just doesn't fit with the movie at all.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Are you sure "neat" is the correct word? lol

Lets make no mention of the "Love Scene" anymore. Some scriptwriter might look at our forum posts and get ideas.... lol

I personally really hope it's around 2.5 hours long. Just about every movie I've seen in theaters in recent memory have been about that long, so 1.5 hours (still pretty standard for movies) just simply wouldn't be long enough for my TRON fix.

In other news, Monolith is hiring for a new game to be released on 360, PS3, and PC. Hmmmmmmmmmm...

It's better than air humping hands at one another like in the concept stuff.

The "love scene" had alot more potential in the movie than you're giving credit.

Alan and Lora were a couple(Does their son JET ring a bell?)

Their programs were introduced, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out -

but in the movie, their reality was that they were together, the scene showed a beautiful transforming program, being sensual.

It made perfect sense, if you think that weird..... well you can guess what I'm going to say.

Gotta love a watered down Tron movie.
