I was seriously hoping they would wait till the following year. Till at least December 2011. I won't have time to go to any movie theaters and who knows where I'll be and what I'll be doing. My life is so crammed and hectic that I don't even have time for half an hour a sleep a day.:/

they probably digitized stuff needed for the set with a laser and used a virtual set. I found it interesting that the company that scans people use a glow in the dark powder on their skin to capture the intricacies, seems like they could make some really cool effects using this tech.

You guys remember that clip they played at ComiCon (I think it was there), the one that had the guy doing all the tricking/parkour stuff, filmed with the Phantom cameras? If you look at his costume, it looks like it could be some sort of mo-cap suit, but there would be no reason to film mocap with a Phantom, as you could simply spread out keyframes and interpolate between them to slow the footage down. Don't forget the costumed guy at the hot dog stand, I don't think they are replacing actor's bodies with CG

I'm fairly cetain CGI/Digital FX is going to be composited onto live actors and live sets.

The Sector Sentry Unit (that looked like a Rez-In unit) that was on display at D23; I am pretty sure was a live
set-piece.
