Im curiouse to know what Flynns is because they had 2 sets with it one was an old run down building the other was an exact replica but on a street corner of tron. The set i was on had like I said 2 different versions of flynns one was an old borded up version of it and then the other was on a street corner inside tron. They had to build the set in the middle of a field because no studios could fit a whole block of inside Tron. They also were doing filming of the 3 main actors in either a car or a ship. I saw a bunch of the raw footage of the same sceene for llike 45 minuites. Got kinda repeditive hearing Jeff bridges say "where did you learn that move" over and over and over. There were a bunch of people running around that were dressed like obiwon konobi. And also a bunch of people dressed all in black with some black helmets.

So I think that they built large practical sets of the Tron world and will probably use the mocap and CGI VFX to just enhance and polish up the scenes filmed on the practical sets. I'm really curious as to what the costumes/suits will look like. Nice job, Traahn! That's along the same lines I was envisioning when I think about what the CGI overlay is going to look like after post. If you don't mind me asking, how did you create this and what did you use to do it? Excellent work!

In relation to the original image, I think that the EL tape used during filming will act as reference points for the VFX overlay. Much like the way "jewel" sensors are glued on and used as references for mo-cap work, the EL tape on their suits may serve as "base circuitry" as well as locational guides for additional CGI circuitry patterns. I could be wrong, but that's how I envision the suits in my mind. Of course, in full motion video, I also imagine pulses of energy or light traveling along those curcuits, much like in the original film. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how Digital Domain interpret's Kosinski's vision for this aspect of the film.
