Yeah, I do agree. If they make the night club scene much different than from the real world (mainly something less of a social or dance club concept) then it could work.
I'll have to seriously think about this. It could go either way if they do it right. It won't be easy though.

I liked this interview though. It's nice to hear first-hand that Tron Legacy is looking even better than the teaser. |
regarding the game, that's what happens when you make a game with the amazing qualities of Tron 2.0, then give 3 months to develop it. It was just pathetic that they made the whole world inside the computer so cool, but left 80% of the story within the story out of it.
I thought the progress bar in the story was nice personally, it was a step forward in futuristic qualities, but they could have worked on the cityscape for sure.
The story could have been 100% better than it was. But I'll give it to them, they blew my mind with the aesthetics.
I agree w/ you on the interview. |

I think the nightclub scene is just something that adds to the overall atmosphere of the realm, and judging by what we've heard from all other sources about things so far, I can't imagine it wouldn't be in there if it didn't have reason to be.
What really got me about this, though, was that he said that Kosinski has said that he doesn't like people watching the proof of concept now, that the visuals and aesthetics of the film have moved above and beyond that. That strikes me as incredibly enticing, and wondering what the hell they could have up their sleeves. I mean, that test reel was incredible, and still is in my opinion.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

A little bit more news, though nothing terribly exciting or revealing:
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=59213
Hopefully the release isn't a crappy IMAX Digital, or whatever the tiny-screen version is called.
[EDIT] Damnit, just re-read the first paragraph. I'm guessing that's the lower resolution, not-really-IMAX IMAX? __________________________

Believe it or not that resolution quality of digital Imax 3D is excellent.
The screen may not be "the size of a foot ball field" metaphorically speaking, but sceen is still pretty darn big and the movies in digital Imax 3-D still look excellent in my view.

IMAX digital is what the latest projectors are. There may be bad ones(the new digital ones are Sony) but I'm not aware of brand of projectors being bad so far.. Something to look up for sure.
anyway, they team the projectors together to fit larger screens. |

Mmm... " QUORRA"... What do guys think about this program's name?
And I quote...
Tron Legacy is set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant Quorra (Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

I looked up the meaning and found this:
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/QuorraYou may see it while in Timbuktu.
an ancient Egyptian name.
an Italian word meaning “Heart.”
I'd imagine it's possible that it's an acronym as well, trying to think one up..

Maybe it's a subtle reference that she represents the "heart" of the system? Or a "core" piece of code that plays a critical role...

Quorra hmm...
Flynn's version of Ma3a, Mecury and Legacy Code
all-in- one maybe ?
A digital triforce in Program form?
Maybe the system is out-of-wack and degrading after evolving/growing for so long and needs something to stabilize and restore balance and part of that is a good woman is needed? A new "heart" for the system perhaps?
I don't know, just speculating.

I made a Quorra picture in Photoshop too. I think HooDoo's looks better than mine though.
EDIT:
Dick Cook, the chairman of Walt Disney Pictures (and probably the person who had the last word on greenlighting Tron Legacy) has resigned. Hopefully this won't affect Tron Legacy negatively.

LOL. I see nothing "throws up in mouth" about such an idea.
I really don't see anything wrong with the speculative idea of Quorra being the daughter of Tron and Yori.
If these Programs are self-aware digital entities/life forms that have evovled;
I'm sure there is the possibilty that two Programs could have evolved away were those two Programs can share pieces of each others' code to replicate a new Program offspring.
It would set a significate precendent as most Programs are written by a User.
A unique offspring of two Programs would be either feared as some kind of bizzare anomoly or revered as a miracle.
Flynn's presense and influence from his visit into their digital world could of/may of had profound affects and effects upon it, and upon on Tron and Yori.
Yori seemed kind of surprised when Flynn gave her a goodbye kiss, and well Tron did look really surprised when Yori kissed him and he said "Nice!" *smiles* like that was a first for him.
Flynn could of been the unintentional or inadvertant Prometheus to the digital world in a sense.
If Programs within the Encom Super Server were/are isolated from their Users fror "20 million micro cycles" (or some such) isolated like the Galapogos Island...
I think eventually "digital procreation" would develop. "Users" to this emergent civilization/society of Programs may now view "Users" how we view the Greek Gods... to be "just myths and legends."
Just some speculation for some to consider...
