Iron Man is my fav super hero of all time. I collect the comics and I do have a few figures hehe. At first I wasnt sure about who was cast as Tony Stark but seeing him in action I loved it. The Armour is fantastic both the original grey suit which just looks like any old piece of metal welded together (as it should be).

The only downside I must say is the fact that Nick Fury is being played by Samuel L. Jackson. I see they've decided to go with the alternate "Ultimate" universe for that Character. Its hard to say without trying to sound like a racist which I am not at all. You notice changes alot more when everything else is so close to the original and they just stick out in your face when they do that.

Just like the Dune Mini series where Fremen walk around outisde without stillsuits, when in the book Fremen would instantly Kill you if you did this because your wasting the tribes water. Or like how Spiderman couldnt keep his mask on in the second movie. I might be wron about Samuel L. Jackson being Fury it might work well have to see. But if he doesnt work as long as its a small part I'll be cool with it lol!

But all said and done Iron man looks fantastic! Oh and did you guys know that Jeff Bridges is in Iron man?

The trailer was cool, but what amazes me was how authentic the Post-Stark Kidnapping Iron Man suit was compaired to today's Iron Man.

It amazes me how almost all the Marvel based properties turn out well in movies. (Well lately, anyway. Though I guess that's still debateable.) Meanwhile, the DC based properties have a much more spotty record. This was brought up back in the DC/Marvel thread.

So far, from what I know about Iron Man, this trailer makes the film look like it's on target. And ironically, Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect actor to play the part because his personal life has been almost as anguished as Tony Stark's.

I know of Iron Man, but I'm not very familiar with the character. I tried to watch the trailer anyway but it wouldn't play for me.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that EVERY frickin' time I see the title of this thread I get the damn song Iron Man by Black Sabbath stuck in my head for hours! Good song - don't get me wrong, but DAMN! It always hijacks my mental music!

Iron Man has always been one of my personal faves. I keep an Iron Man Figure on my desk normally. Guess he and War Machine are coming out of their box again at the new job.
