Cool vids! Hadn't seen those before. I knew about Dronez/Drones, but had never seen that vid before. I wrote to the developers back when it was under development and learned they were, indeed, definitely inspired by Tron. Rip-off? Yes, somewhat... but admirable, considering we didn't have very much Tron stuff back when it was being developed. Tron 2.0 hadn't been announced, etc.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Not the most creative video, but the song is always good.
EDIT: That guy in the "Computer Dating" vid, told me that, that video won the 60-second category of a film festival that he entered. He also did the glow effect via chromakey.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I like the home-made glow effects of the first one. Kinda funny, too! The third one looks like it could have been really good, it's a shame it was canned.
And the second one... what the heck?!

I remember finding the game DroneZ, for the PC. They scrapped a PC version that looked awesome, then from this article, I read they ported PC to XBox. I thought it was DOA, since D'igsney, BVG, Nvidia, and so on, promoted thier "glow" as the first. I haven't looked into the factuality of this statement, but from what I've found, it was all a marketing gimmic.

It would be interesting to contact Metro3D, Zetha gameZ (if I recall they're russian.. don't quote that), and find out why it was cancelled.
I noticed in this thread more facts about the game, including the genere, sci-fi shooter?

Jademz - Good idea about the Dronez devs. For some reason I had the impression they were European... maybe German. But you could be right.
PS: I just watched the Tron on Me vid and I was actually kinda impressed I enjoyed it. I think the ending should've somehow incorporated Flynn getting digitized back to the real world... but it was still fun to watch.

I was about to upload a youtube video, but with respect to where I got it, Here's the video. Download
A few more interesting links. DronezpicDroneZwalker
Link to source= http://www.nvidia.com/object/dronez.htmlLink to IGN article= IGNIGN ActionVaultIt's a shame, that a game of this calibur seems to have run out of money, from what I see. Somewhere between 2001-2003 the Dreamcast and PC version was scrapped, and the Xbox version was introduced. From what I can tell, the creator(s) wanted to put out the highest quality product. The core teams name, I just read, is SpinVector.
ok, one more link InterviewThe IGN reviews refer to this game as jaw dropping.
I bet something stopped it, maybe a mouse chewed thier wires?
Either way, If you wanted to create a cyberspace game, and had 5 years into it, would you like the rug pulled? Maybe Tron needs some good competion, or Disney may have bought this game, to release the weak game they released. who knows.
But it looked well worth 50 bucks lol.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online |

Awesome! Thanks for joining us here on TRON-Sector! We hope you'll have a great time here. TheReelTodd will soon greet you with his "standard-substandard" greeting post.
It's really great when someone make a TRON parody/fan video especially with special effects and stuff.
tksmith, I sent you a PM about Sony Vegas.

Greetings, tksmith and welcome to TRON-Sector!
As you can see, we're all enjoying your cool Computer Dating video. Not just because it's TRON based, but also because it's... well, ok - mostly because you did it in the style of TRON! You really did a fine job on the whole effect and look of it!
I'm glad you found your way here. We're a fun, nerdy bunch, TRON is our favorite film and we all have many other interests in common as well.
A couple of threads you may want to hit are:

Thanks for the welcomes, everybody.
I've received some questions about how the costume and special effects were done on the video, so I thought I'd explain a bit here. It wasn't all that hard, and I'd like to encourage people to make more fan videos in the Tron universe.
Here's what it looked like when I shot the video:
For the costume, I just bought a used hockey helmet that looked sufficiently Tron-like, removed the unnecessary parts, sanded the logos off, and added green electrical tape for the glowing lines. I also added tape to a gray shirt, and some knee pads for the shoulders. All told, it cost about $40.
I don't own a studio, so I shot the footage in my home theater -- that's my screen behind me. (It's 12.5 feet diagonal, and Tron looks fantastic on it.
I pointed some lights at the screen behind me to make it completely white, so the editing software could remove it later. The video camera was on manual settings, so I'd still be the proper brightness with the super-bright background.
Once I had the footage, I used a video editor (Vegas Video) to remove the background (everything that's pure white) and replace it with a still frame that I grabbed from the Tron 2.0 video game. Then I made my footage black and white.
On top of that, I added another copy of my footage, but used the editor's greenscreen function to select all of the green tape, and turn it into a blue glow, which I added to to the black and white footage. The electrical tape actually came in a multi-pack with other colors, and I tested it with others, but green worked best.
For the sound, I recorded the two voices in separate takes, and digitally lowered the pitch of the "MCP" voice in a sound editor. I also raised the pitch of my own voice, just to sound dorkier.
There was a fair amount of tweaking to get the effects just right, but once they were done, I could have done a whole movie's worth. The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to come up with a worthwhile script. Now that I have the effects figured out, and the costume (or at least the helmet), I'm thinking of other related videos to make.

Awesome!
Your voice didn't sound that bad to me.... not near as high as Weird Al Yankovic. (Google it.)
Also, in laymen's terms, could you explain how you made the MCP's voice? I know different people's voices are diferent, so that could be a difficult variable... still, great video.

The voice wasn't too hard; I just used a sound-editing program (Sound Forge) to lower the pitch of my voice. Normally the pitch gets lower (deeper) as you slow down the recording, but most sound editing programs can employ some fancy math to raise or lower the pitch without changing the speed of the recording. Telephone voice-changer devices work in the same way. Some video editors will have this capability built-in as well -- iMovie on MacOS X has a voice-pitch-changer feature with a dial that's labelled "Monster" on the low end, and "Chipmunk" on the high end.
I don't remember exactly how much I shifted the pitch of the recording, I just played with it until it sounded MCP-like.
This is actually just a modern simulation of how the MCP's voice was originally done. I believe that the MCP's voice was produced by taking lines performed by David Warner (Sark, Dillinger) and lowering the pitch on them drastically. If I'd had more time to make the film, I probably would have tried to mimic his accent for it.
I raised the voice of the rest of the dialog largely because my voice is generally pretty low, and didn't sound different enough from the MCP voice. I can actually produce speech in the range of the MCP, but it sounded more authentic when I recorded it normally and processed it.

Thanks for the awesome info, Toren. I also want to add to this disscusion on how to make an MCP-like voice. Here's a quick test I did in FL Studio:
MCP Voice Test
Here's a quick run-down on what I did:
I took a piece of David Warner's dialoge, loaded the sample into a Granulizer (which stretches the sound wave by slicing the sound into lots of tiny pieces) and then, slowed it down to the "G" key of the 4th octave of the keyboard, as if you were playing a sample of Sark's voice on a keyboard sampler. Then I added a Flanger effect, which takes the voiceover and plays two identical sounds of them at the same time, but one of the samples playing is slightly time-delayed. Anyway, I selected a preset called, "Ultra Fat Chorus" in FL Studio's own flanger plug-in and before you can say, "I want him in the games until he dies playing", you got a full-pledge MCP talking to you!
If anyone wants, I could send you the FL studio project file for making a MCP voiceover.
