BTW - you really need to brush up on your command prompt syntax if you're going to properly navigate the new site.
Be sure to download that instructional PDF file. There are less than 300 commands you'll need to know, so it won't take more than a few days to learn them all. No problem, right?

I was about to make a scathing post asking if you and Auric had gone mad when I saw the "April Fools" thread on the right.

What's funny is I actually suggested _exactly_ this as an April Fool's prank over at ANOTHER site I go to. Somebody complained about some new feature, and somebody else said something like "Well, why don't we go back to the old BBS system where we don't have avatars or sigs or an "edit" button, then?"
Then I leaped in with: "Ooh, ooh, even better--how 'bout green monochrome text on black with all the graphics done as wireframe stick-figures? BACK TO 1982! Yeah, baby!"
Then somebody else pointed out that while that _would_ be a neat April Fool's prank, perhaps I should not have said it _out loud_, 'cos now it couldn't be used, 'cos we'd be expecting it.
Ah well. :P
Seriously, though, sometime back in February I thought that up, for a different board... (laughs)

Gmail had a good one about introducing the "gmail paper" feature where you could get all your e-mail printed and shipped to you. However, thanks to Todd's AF joke, I was now on the ready and spotted that one right away

Same here! it was after midnite when I was able to login, so it was actually the 2nd
My initial reaction was "Wha?" quickly followed by "well, maybe this will at least fix the site glitches then"
