Rockapella is not that bad either. Here is a song from one of their live shows they had done.

I used to listen to duran duran, balck sabboth, and a few others groups when I was in shop class over here. Never really liked them as a personal preference. Was not much into groups like them.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I've seen Duran Duran live once. Last album I liked of theirs was the "Wedding Album" with "Come Undone" on it.

Rockapella was okay. This one is one of their more recent called tonight. But they did sing a song called where in the world is carmen Sandiago which was from a tv show from the 80/90 era.

Whoo! A lot of these, I know the song, but I haven't seen the video. I didn't have MTV when it was cool, you see, so I have to catch up by watching things like "The Big '80s" on VH1 and that one show that specialises in more obscure videos on VH1 Classics, that I can't remember the name of right now...

And some of these are almost entirely new to me. For example, for some reason I never even _heard_ "Voyage Voyage" until just recently. But that's what makes this fun! I'm enjoying digging into '80s music, researching it, 'cos I'm always discovering new stuff I hadn't heard before.

Anime Duran Duran, WHOO!! I had seen still shots of just them as their anime versions, but not the _whole_ video that they played behind the stage on a big screen during some of their recent-ish concerts. By the way, yes, they are very much still going--my friend went to a concert of theirs only last year! Said it was a GREAT concert experience, too.
Them going anime and stomping Tokyo doesn't surprise me at all, though. They've always been total science fiction geeks. (I mean, look what the band itself is named after!) Didja know, one of their songs was used as the _theme song_ OF an actual anime series (with permission, I assume), that came out last year? "Girls On Film" was the song, and it totally fits.

And you want to know how much of a Duran geek I am? I instantly recognized what that symbol on Simon's belt (the one that he pushes to make them all turn huge at the end) means/comes from. Oh, heavens... (shakes head at self)
(It's the symbol on the album "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" from 1983. Bit of a flashback there!)

Anybody here seen the original video of "Careless Memories"? It's...also pretty weird, although not _that_ weird. It's one of those very obviously "We don't know what we're doing yet, this is still a new art form" style ones, from 1981. And I bet they're all still embarrassed about the outfits/hairstyles they were wearing. (laughs)
No version of that song can top the _viciously_ driving rendition of it from the "Arena" tape, though. Yes, I just admitted I'm enough of a Duranie-geek to know about something like that. Oh yeah. I went there.

Anyway...Rockapella! I don't know much about them but I do have a friend who's a _huge_ fan and sent me a tape of their stuff...but anyway, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" is one of THE catchiest tunes in the universe. Ever. One of those tunes so infectious it should probably be _outlawed_. :P
Another good one of theirs is "Zombie Jamboree". A great Halloween song; I personally think any '80s-themed Halloween tape cannot be without it. That, and "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo, of COURSE!

I know I should be showing videos, but, I dunno...I'm having more fun talking about the ones other people showed!

...Notorious

1. Never tell everything you know.

I tried to find the original video for Careless Memories on youtube, they don't have it
