Great job on your first video!
I had an Amiga 500 for a while, but I never really got many games for it. I also had an Atari 1040ST, and had a lot of games for that system.
But as I've already explained, I never had a C64. I feel . . . like I missed out on something.
I had a TRS-80 Color Computer as my first machine. Then I went to the ST, then Amiga, and finally PC. For consoles it went Atari 2600, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, and finally Xbox.

You're telling me! My friends and I had our leathers and an excessive number of bandanas and arm bands ready to go at a moment's notice. Bummer.
Nice job on the review, btw. I agree that the fat hippy should have been nuked, as he is not worthy. |
The funny thing is that I was really soooooooooooo hoping that my future would lead to that. Driving in some sort of rigged up dusty black car, long hair, leather jacket, and racing a car through a post apoplectic city.
My future would have been a cross between Thundar, Road Warrior, Ice Pirates, and Night of the Comet.
I'm in tears that I never had my chance... lol.. |

Talk about awesome memories of great shows. I also liked their concept... A strange and big comment or something flew between the moon and earth... It cracked the moon in half and cause a slew of wild things to the earth. Then everyone mixed future tech and magic together..... It was a great show... I'm going to look for it on DVD...
I-76 was such a great experience for me. Plus it's one of the few games I've ever played that made me feel that I was right there with Groove. I always dreamed about putting old WWII guns on my car and hunting down creepers...
MutoidMan, if something huge was to happen and we had no choice but to defend ourselves, look me up. We'll raid some AirForce junkyards and see if we can deck out our cars.. lol..

Here is my review of Speedball 2.
Although there is a lot of improvement compared to Nitro, I still am not satisfied with it 100% but I sort of rushed it. There have been a great deal of issue that has rose up recently...
Anyways, enjoy...

Wow... thanks everybody... It's something I always wanted to do but never thought I could...
As for the "unknown games".... I was originally wanting to do reviews of Sega Genesis games and that would work in my favor since the Wii VC is now putting out Genesis games for download.
But I owe it to the Amiga community since after all these years (1988 thru 1997... and today) they have been helpful and offered support when Commodore collapsed upon it's self.... that and they have been to most demanding... lol...
You guys really should look into Amiga emulation. That was one series of computers that was way ahead of it's time.
Thanks so much for watching...
My next Amiga review is of a game called "Wrath of the Demon".... get out your holy water and crosses... :P

Unfortunately, I never had a Commodore 64, or an Amiga--though I knew people who did, and got to use their machines at least once, in my earlier years. We didn't get a computer of our own until at least 1990, and when we did, it was old for its time 'cos it was one that our next-door neighbor/friend family didn't want anymore (but still worked).
But I do remember the Amiga. I remember New Year's Eve, 1989, at the house of the "captain" of our Star Trek club--tons of adults and kids of different ages all over the place, amusing themselves however, into the wee smalls...and one of the main things us kids were doing was playing games on the Amiga upstairs--QUIETLY--while by comparison, the adults were being completely raccous playing "Killer Uno" downstairs!
I remember they were having trouble getting the Amiga to do...something...and then the next morning, they were playing this hex-board type strategy (paper and dice) RPG called "Amoeba Wars". I instantly then had to call it "Amiga Wars" and thought I was _soooooooo_ clever. Hey, give me a break, I was 15. :P
When it was working, I had my first experience playing "Tetris", ever, on an Amiga. And...some adventure game I can't remember now. Those are my main memories of an Amiga. New Year's Eve, 1989/1990.
Ooh, you should definitely do a review of some Sega Genesis games! I actually know about a bunch of those. Especially one that was shown in your preview--Phantasy Star II. I'm a huge fan of that series--done fanart, used to post on a messageboard about that universe, the whole nine yards!--and I think those'd actually kind of fit with the board's theme.
Well, 2 would. The main enemy at the end is an evil computer program! In fact, I kinda imagine the "Mistress Control Program" as looking a bit like Mother Brain... And check out that grid-pattern floor/background in all the fight scenes in that game...
And the high-tech music most of them have, especially 2 and 4. There's one piece of music in Phantasy Star IV--played when you're going through an underground science lab/computer complex that actually had circuit-board patterns on the....floor I think--and the song is called: "Behind the Circuit". Doesn't that just rule?
I wonder...are they going to be bringing over any Japanese-only Genesis (Megadrive) games, on the Wii VC? I think it'd be great if more people here could actually play "Pulseman!" without having to go and download a ROM (which, considering how obscure it is, old, _and_ foreign, that's probably about the only feasible way to get it at all, nowadays). The game is _very_ inspired by TRON, but also, just a fun game. _I'd_ review it if I knew anything at all about how to make a video. :P
But seriously, I think more people here should get a chance to play that one...or at least know more about it through _your_ review.

The Phantasy Star games were brilliant. My first exposer to it was PSII. I just got a Genesis the year Sega first released it. It came with Altered Beast as it's launch title. I loved playing it... The best platformer of all times was on that system... It was "Revenge Of Shinobi" (Which I also have in my intro video).
A friend of mine who lived across the neighborhood was the only other in town who had a Genesis at that time and got his hands on Phantasy Star II. He would let me borrow it and I instantly fell in love with that game... and it was the hardest RPG since the early Ultima games. There were many days I played hooky from school so that I could spend all day playing it... and I never beat it till Sega emulation was introduced to me in the mid 90's... It was then when I beat it.
I didn't get the chance to play the other PS games when I had the system other than III and I didn't like that one much. I played and beat both III and IV one Sega EMUs and I really liked IV a lot.
Once I'm done pleasing the Amiga community then I'll start on Genesis games. It will be a very long time but I would like to get started on that sometime before 2008. By then I'll have enough of experience making game reviews and I would have already learned as to what methods work and don't work.
Also during that time I'll through in a few C64 game reviews and some NES games as well... I'm not touching the SNES because I hadn't had much experience with the games and I was a Genesis fanboy... but I will be taking care of a lot of PC games... I'm looking at games between 1993 thru 1998... and maybe some new ones as well...
BTW: I was so upset when Sega started making Phantasy Star Online because I knew they would have changed so much (and I'm not a MMORPG player).... I also was upset with Phantasy Star Universe because it has little (if anything) to do with the original PS games. I mean it was ok but I was at least expecting the planets to be named the same.

The frustration is real. I usually record my audio while I play the game (but not the video). I then record the video when I play the game again. I then write a script of what I want to cover in the review.
If the improve audio has segments that I want to use, then I edit it into the final video along with the scripted audio. I usually don't do this unless I cover a good point or I'm just pissed off.. lol... but this is the first time I've used the improve audio...
I really wanted to finish this review but I had a bad disk... lol... but since I put too much work into it to begin with, I figured... why not... :P
