Looking good so far. I'm so envious of you guys that can get the outline effect without having to model it. The only thing I notice that looks "off" to me is the red vertical line on the counter balance where the half cylinder meets up with the box. I hope that makes sence. In the film this line is either gone or in some shots you can see a complete circle like the cylinder sticks out just a bit too far.
If I lost you let me know and I'll make a few pictures....

Very nice! Makes me want to pull my tank model out of that obscure folder and make some new animations... Been so busy with other 3d work lately, haven't had the time..
Oh, and wwwmwww, I SO agree on the outlining... I've heard that Blender (the prog I use) has the ability to do it automatically, but I have yet to find that option... So I've had to do all my outlines by hand as well... dang irritating..

Hi Carl!
Found more edges which are not on the actual model.
The model which have the circles on the counterweight is CLU's tank, the scene when the turret is turning
and the round thing on the side is removed too.
Later in the movie, when the cycles got chased by the tanks, the edges on the counterweight are different again.

Hi!
I'm using Lightwave3D 8.5.
http://www.lightwave3d.com/
Cant really tell if its easy to use compared to
other 3d-packages.
But what i really like, is that modeling and scene-editing(+rendereing ect) are divided into 2 programs,
The programs can communicate, so if you are building a scene
and need to change something in the model, you can send it over to the modeller, change it, and send it back.
Its pretty powerfull, but its $800 also.....

Hence why I stick with Blender! The scene editor is built into the main program, so there's no program-switching required. But the biggest reason I stick with it? Blender is FREE!
