New member introduction - 3d artist

on Thursday, January, 26, 2006 6:49 AM
Greetings programs!

I've been lurking for a while, and finally decided to post. Been a big fan of Tron since I was a wee lad, waaaay back when... lol...

Recently, I've been toying with the idea of a Tron fanfilm, as I noticed a lot of people on here have been. I've done a couple of short Star Wars films in the past, and want to break away into a broader spectrum of stuff.

I've been doing a lot of 3d work lately, using the newest version of Blender. Figured as long as I'm posting, I'd offer up a couple of my recent works... First is a pic of some 3d models, 2nd is an animation using the tank. Still need to add the recoil & muzzle flash, but it's almost there.

EDIT: Having issues with the markups... lol

WOW!!! Very very nice. I can tell you are working with meshs instead of CSGs but it does give the dome on your tank an interesting texture. Great work and I can't wait to see more.

Carl

P.S. Almost forgot... welcome to TRON-Sector.

Welcome to the Sector.

I am very impressed with your work. Considering the developing talent pool here, perhaps we all ought to sign on with Pixar and just make TRON 2 ourselves? where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Neat. I tried Blender out but found it somewhat confusing. I like your models though... maybe I should give it another shot.

Hmmm... my first thought on reading the above was someone bought an expensive piece of software and now isn't using it!?

So I decided to test my assumptions and I see where they break down. Blender is free just like POVRay.

Cool. More free software that can do incredibly cool stuff.

Hey, thanks for all the warm welcomes! Yes, Blender is a completely free program... and because of that it's constantly being updated... It's not QUITE as robust as Max 7 or comparable programs, but it's close... and considering the price, you can't beat it..

The interface is a bit different, and takes some getting used to.. (I noticed someone said they had tried it but couldn't understand it... I couldn't either until I followed along with an online tutorial)... but once you figure out the interface, it's a breeze... I actually prefer it over Max's interface now...

And yes, these were done with meshes... the cycles were actually the first model I did from scratch... the tank is like my 4th or 5th... I may end up re-doing the domes, because I'm not sure I like the segmented look they have, as someone noticed...

Anyhow, thanks again guys! I'll post up when I have more.

Wow you are REALLY good...

REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD....

Anyway welcome to tron-sector:

the sector for all things tron and sector realated, favoring tron but still sector but more tron over sector if tron-sector were sector-tron but the sector is fewer than the tron but the tron is in the sector so the programs like the sector-tron and the sector but the tron in the sector better than the sector around the tron for the progams like the sector and the tron but tron over the sector because the tron is in the sector or otherwise.

...that's my way of saying hello. You 3D models are cool, but I like 2D frame-by-frame animations. But 3D is still cool.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

hmmm well with the tie in to the 5 minute trailer blender maybe the way to go for any CG????

Feedback, Meatsack you seem to know nuff about this as well!

Congrats BTW thats bang on from the movie in my opinion. I notice as the bar in pool talent raises here I wonder how long it will be before disney sends us a cease and desist. I mean lets go o nthe deep end.

We make the 5 minute trailer. Its top quality. Spam it out on the net. People are like WHOA when is this coming out. Disney is like hmmm should we really do this? Or hmmmm thats pretty damn nice (&*%# but we dont care. Cease and decist on the intellectual property infringment or ummm we shut you and this site down

Just speculative thought hehe we are still a tad too disorganised to really be any eyebrow raiser to disney...

but i do belive this....If our 5 minute trailer was THAT good!

Dienys might listen..where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Greetings, Chikan and welcome to TRON-Sector!

I'm glad you decided to join in after lurking about for a while. TRON-Sector has a way of attracting talented, creative minds... who happen to love TRON!

I liked your imagery and tank animation. I've taken the liberty of adding the tank scene to your TRON Fan Art gallery in the Image Gallery section. I hope you don't mind.

Keep working on your models and animation, and post what you come up with. We all enjoy TRON fan art and animation.

A couple of threads you may want to hit are:

What's with your name?

And...

Don't forget to PING in every time you have yourself Another dose of TRON

I think you'll enjoy your time here at The Sector order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Again, thanks for the warm welcomes!

No problem on adding my pic to the gallery.. my pleasure to provide more goodies!

Not entirely sure which website you're referring to, but if I have some good multi-angle shots of the concept model, I can create the 3d mesh & animate it pretty much any way I want to

Well, I just finished the Recognizer, finally.... I think I'm gonna suggest to the guys who make Blender, that they offer an option to have the edges use a different material than the faces of the mesh... sure would make it a LOT easier on me to trace the edges of everything so they glow... lol

Let me know what you guys think!

Very very nice. You are missing a few of the facial features. There should be a triangular nose, some cut outs for the corners of the mouth and there are holes in the shoulders that make me think of ears.

Keep up the great work,
Carl
