Yea, I thought there was something missing up there... Does anyone have any GOOD reference pics of the facial area? So far all I've been able to find is distance shots of the whole thing, so it's hard to pick out the details...order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

i myself never really thought of the recognizers as having a "face" like I can see that its totally there but I was never fond of it. I prefer it to be a more anonymous type vehicle....
hehe I would revamp the facial area if i was in charge of a remake I was pretty satifised with what they did with the ver. reco's in Tron 2.0

Could someone post a pic of the recognizers as seen in Tron 2.0. I've read about people that liked them and I've read about people that hated the changes but I think I have yet to see one of them.

Ok... I'm gonna get to work on the recognizer again probably tomorrow.... but for now, here's a little treat, per request.

I'm not completely satisfied with the new cycle.... it looks sweet, but there's a few little glitches in the front end of the body that I'm still tweaking....

Nahh... Just shows how far Blender has come... So far, I think the tank took me the longest to make, only because I had to trace around all the edges of the turret to make the red glow, with a separate material... and that's a LOT of edges... lol
But even so, these models only took a few hours each... I'll finish up the recognizer tonight sometime, after the kids are in bed... lol

That's a nice recognizer you modeled, Chikan.
I've added it to your fan art gallery.
EDIT: And the light cycle images too.
Keep up the good work!abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Id be interested in finding out how long the recognizer model took. I did one in 3dsmax 7 and it took about 6 hours to get right. here is the link

Nicely done! Notice yours has the same issue as mine, with the face details...
Mine took about an hour to create all the parts, but added another 4-5 hours to create the glowing edges... I'm curious, does 3dsmax have an option to render the edges of a poly in a different material than the faces? I have yet to find an option for it in Blender, but that would've made it SO much easier... instead, I had to create a very thin small cylinder, and trace/copy it around the edge of each part.... hence the reason it took so long... lol

Here's an example of my 3D Canvas model.
http://www.tron-sector.com/gallery/show.aspx?id=1683
This one took me about three hours all said and done. 3D Canvas (free, but can be upgraded) can do some neat animations on the fly but has some limitations (with the free version) when dealing with shapes and effects on those shapes.
However, it was great for a newbie to try out 3D work and although it may not conform to perfectionist standards I think it turned out OK.

Actually, if you turn on the anti-aliasing, (gets rid of the defects in all the lines, makes 'em nice & straight), that would probably look pretty darn good! Nice job!
EDIT: Here's the finished Recognizer... Oh, and I watched the movie again last night... noticed there were a LOT of scenes where they seemed to have a green tint to the body.... Personally I think it looks better with this bluish grey... What do u guys think?

Nice... I see I'm going to have to get my recognizer model done one of these days. You guys are making me look bad. LOL!!! Great work...
I really like the color and texture you are using. Personally I'm ok with the green recognizers too. There are different colored tanks seen in the movie so I'm ok with there being different colored recognizers too.

Your completed recognizer looks very good!
I'm a TRON purist and I do prefer the look (down to color and rendering style) of the film models, but you did a very nice job with yours and the color works.
It's been added to your fan art gallery.

Actually yes, all of these models (with the exception of the original lightcycles) are already set up with "empty"s, so they're fully prepped to be animated.... One of these days I'll get around to adding the "empty"s to the originals, but as I said before, that was my very first model, and I had no clue what they were for at the time... lol
As seen in the first video, the tank is movable, with a rotating turret and firing cannon... Newer cycle has rotating wheels... Recognizer has rotating legs (so it can do the 'SQUISH!' move.. lol) as well as a separate movable head area.... etc..

Probably but that isnt how I pulled off the effect. I created a clone opject of the recognizer and used the lattice modifer on the clone, then applied a self illumated material to the lattice and voila glowing edges.
