MA3A=Laura - Nobody ever put it into print, but I do know from Cindy Morgan that during the recording of her lines a 'motherly' element was applied.
Yes!! I knew it!! (well 90% sure anyways) hehe I also sensed that motherly voice from time to time. Cool! Great insight, DT. Thx!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

guh... Too... many... posts... to... process...

My take on Ma3a is pretty similar to Todd's in that I assumed she was "kind of" Lora. That the accident digitized part of her personality, without her memories and without her individuality. I could go on at length, but surely some of you would prefer I save a few of my insights for the comics. Particularly when you consider they will probably cost $3.95 an issue.

However, I took notice that many of these aspects from the game were left open to interpretation. Subsequently, I think we have the potential for many diverse and interesting takes on what has happened over the last 20 years.

As far as the general concept of what is and isn't on topic... Well... There's not much to talk about in regards to the comic stuff yet. Not that I can share anyway. And the interpretations of the Tron universe (from both the film and the game) is key in what the end result of the comic will be. Mind you, I've been formulating the story for the last year and a half, so there's not to much that will change. But what is interesting is seeing how many people have similar impressions of what is happening inside the computer as I do. I'm really looking forward to reaction on the comic. I mean, some of you will hate it. Some of you will not. But discussing what is loved and hated is a big motivation for me in working, as I am sure any of you who have written fiction or created artwork can attest to. So, in short, as Todd stated, discussing the storyline of the game and the images here is not really a problem. they go hand in hand.

I see what you are going for in those images, Traahn. I'll make sure to show these to Louie. I'm not sure how similar the texture and shading of the characters will be in the final artwork though, so the flatness may or may not be present.

redrain85: I have to be honest, it was when spellcheck tried to alter "Ma3a" to "Mama" that I noticed the potential interpretation. I had noticed the "Ma" part immediately, but not the rest. I wonder if it was intentional?

Well, it's weird . . . I thought of Ma3a as behaving as if she were Jet's mother at times, especially toward the end. So you'd think something as obvious as Ma3a would stand out. One character difference, and we get Mama.

But, nope. I didn't see it until now. And I definitely think it was intentional.

I think it was intentional too. I'm not sure where it came from or what started it but I've seen articles written about l33t 5p34k. Having followed this conversation that's exactly what Ma3a looks like to me. If you aren't familiar with it here is a place to start:

lurkinghorror, I've got a question. I'm a BIG fan of Tron. I now can even say I own Tron 2.0 and the stratagy guide. However my personal PC is on its last legs and I doubt I'd get very far if I tried to install it. At the moment I don't have enough free time to try installing it. I hope to have a new PC and some free time one of these days but also having gone through unemployment in my past I'm greatful to be kept busy too. Anyways, I'm not familiar with the story in Tron 2.0 or any of these other spin off games which I guess tell different parts of the story. Will your comic bring those not familar with the new characters and the events of Tron 2.0 up to speed? You've said your comic is NOT Tron 2.0 the comic but there are times I've sort of wished for just that to know what I'm missing out on story wise.

Just curious,
Carl

There are some good walk-throughs out there that literally walk you through the game in writing. Some of them may also give you some detailed story elements of the game as well. The only way to really get it all is to play the game. The game tells the story with the objectives in each level, the cut scenes, and all the e-mails you retrieve throughout the game. The e-mails actually explain a lot of what happened between TRON and TRON 2.0.

Again, I'm not a big fan of TRON 2.0's storyline, but they did a decent job of telling it (good or bad) with the story elements and e-mails.

The intent is to run a page long text peice introducing each issue. The first one of these will be an update about the movie, build up to the game, game. In fact, I was supposed to write that today.

Sadly, I was lazy instead.

Hi all. Haven't posted alot, mostly lurking....
But I do remember somewhere in the game reading an email from Alan. He said something about after Laura's accident finding alot of raw code. Raw complicated code. I think he used that code to help create Ma3a.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

What does'nt make sense to me is-how can you wrench your back in the digital world? It's CODE. They don't have spines as we know them. What is up with that?

And about the Ma3a thing, I don't think Ma3a IS Lora per se, but she could have Lora DNA in her code. That would explain why she LOOKS like Lora instead oh her actual User, Alan.

I've come to the personal conclusion (based on very little) that programs look like their programmers, not their users. Yes, Yuri looks like Lora, Tron like Alan, Clu like Flynn. But it seems likely that all these programs were actually written by their users.

Now, does Ram look like his user (an accountant?) or the popcorn guy (a programmer?) in the cubicle next to Alan's? I suspect that the actor playing both characters was not really meant as anything much more than: "hey Dan, you're on the set. say this line!" But does Mercury look like Alan?

Anyway, I said this is based upon very little. But it makes sense to me.

This was discussed before in the "I'm 'cracking' a program... CLONATION? " thread. I at first thought users, but now I think programmers.

Being a computer programmer, I would like to think I've left my mark (for good or bad) in some way some where.

That is exactly how that scene happened. The character was named Walter Dizzly and Steven asked Dan Shor to step in and do the piece. It was a little bit of filler for the scenes only.

Now I'm half expecting Jet to weild a cane for some reason and have the sudden urge from time to time to smack people with it. But on that tangent, I think that they despritally need to make Jet's eyes a little wider or do something about it. If no one's going to make the House M.D. connection, then Jet actually looks kinda villanous and that doesn't work either.

And as far as that helmet idea, he looks much better without it. It takes too much away from Jet and sorta clutters his head. It also points out that there's nothing unusual about Jet in the digital world. He looks way too much like everyone else. I think there needs to be a bit more diversity. If he really needs a helmet, why not one that looks like a biker's helmet like they did in Killer App? Or at least something similar to it? The other problem by adding a helmet is that something totally weird happens to his over all appearance. It makes him look 10 years older than he really is. I mean he'd be like 20-something, but the helmeted version doesn't say that. It says that while he still is a bit young, he's an old looking 20-something-year-old. I really thing he needs a much more youthful (Yet mature-ish) appearance or else I don't think anyone is going to buy in to his appearance.

I have to confess, I hate the helmet added in the XBox version. Too "Halo". Not very "Tron". As far as Jet standing out visually from everyone else... I don't think he should. It bugged me that he did in the game. Particularly as no one actually seemed to notice the obvious difference. Yes, he is a user. But so was Flynn. How much would it have taken away from the film if everyone looked at Flynn and could tell he was one of their gods? It certainly would have been a different story. And having Jet be noticeably different in this comic would change this story as well.

As far as him looking older and the cast to his face the eyes give... Hopefully, this will seem more appropriate when the comic is read.

And as a afterthought, I feel compelled to point out that Jet technically did wear a helmet in the game. They just never showed any alterations to Jet's appearance in the cut scenes. Not really relevant, but a slightly interesting aside.

The helmets were added to make it look more Halo I was told, and also to solve likeness issues with Boxleitner.

I'm surprised by that. I mean, he's all over the place in the Xbox version.

But then, rights issues are insane. They make my head spin.
