I really hope you don't mind me keep asking you but I want to get it right and if you really rather I ask someone else let me know. Is there some formal way I should write it without offending Disney and letting people know that they can't download it illegally?

I would put something like this, in your instructions:

"Disclaimer: You agree that by following these instructions to create a TRON 2.0 soundtrack, you will only use the resulting files for your own private enjoyment. Do not upload these files through the Internet, under any circumstances."

If you don't think that's safe enough, you can always contact BVG themselves and ask.

I had already thought the game's sound track was excellent, keeping with the spirit of movie's sound track, perhaps a bit more modernized. But it wasn't until I needed to fully understand the game's music system that I was thoroughly impressed. As a musician myself, I gained a lot of respect for the composer's ability and skill. As all of you who have played the game probably know, the game's music is interactive. When we are in combat the music is intense and driving, when we are unthreatened the music is more calm. Because of this, the sound track is split into small samples. I’ll attempt to explain why. It's been a while since I've worked with these files, wow, just under a year now, so my description about this may be slightly off (too lazy to install my copy of Tron and find that extraction program you guys mentioned), but the concept should be there, so I'll give it a shot.

For simplification purposes, let's say there are two different situations we need music for. One is walking around peacefully and the other is combat. Let's label the peaceful music as A and the combat music as B. For our example let's say both of these are a minute long and can flow back into themselves to repeat (In other words, you can play A again after A ends and it flows smoothly into itself with no hiccups). So now we can walk around peacefully for 2 minutes or 10 minutes and our music flows nice and smooth. If we are walking peacefully (A) and then end up in combat, we can't stop playing A and play B, because it wouldn't be a smooth transition, it would sound really bad. Also, we can't wait a whole minute to play B, because the combat might even be over by then. So A and B both need to be split up into small parts. For our example let's say that's four parts each. Playing parts A1 - A4 consecutively will make up the full A, like wise with B1 - B4 making up all of B. Now even with our smaller parts we can't finish playing A2, for example and then go right into B1 to start the combat music, because again, it's not a smooth transition. So each one of these A sections needs its own transition into B1, to smoothly start the combat music. And like wise, when combat is over, each one of these B sections needs a smooth transition section back to A1.

So, keeping in mind this is just our theoretical example, with 4 parts each in our 2 kinds of music, we’ll need 8 sections of transitions as well, for a 16 total. So you can already see the composing work that needs to be done is growing fast. I find it really impressive that the composer wrote all these different transitions so that we can quickly and smoothly transition from one type of music to the next at many points in the music.

Well, if you made it this far, hopefully it helps give some insight to those of you trying to piece together your own soundtrack. Also, keep in mind that the end of these sections actually comes before the end of the actual audio file. I think the best example to realize this is if there is an echo on an instrument, the wav file contains all of the echo, which will continue to play and be mixed into the next section of music, whether it’s a transition section or the next normal section for the music.

Probably your best bet to putting a sound track together would be to determine the tempo of each of these themes, and play around with dropping the wav files into a digital audio sequencer (cubase, acid, sonar, logic, garageband, etc…).
I hope this wasn’t too confusing. Good Luck!

Sorry I haven't got back to you, Mitch 662. School started back up. ~ I agree with you, Fretnoize. The person who wrote this was really gifted. Putting the tracks together, I didn't have to find the tempo. I just matched the clips the as best I could while going in and out of the game, listening to it over and over again. For a couple tracks, I found and entire version of the song. But don't get your hopes up because it didn't sound the same way as it did in the game. I just compared that song to the clips to see if they were the same.

You know what, let's post it here. If someone can send me the proper instructions, I will write it up in a fashion that shouldn't cause too much trouble. I know the kind of warnings we should give about posting and sharing.

Dinsey's got to know people are doing this by now, and as long as we aren't encouraging piracy, we aren't breaking rules. People just want to have and hear the music separate from the game right?order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I don't want to do anything bad with it. I just want hear it. I'm not out to sell it. Just to let people listen to it. I'd really appreciate if you could help me with the instructions since I want to make it correct. I also wanted to post a story that a friend of mine wrote and wanted to make sure that nobody could steal it. If you plan to post a story, then you take those risks. Not sure what I could do there.

Well DaveTRON, if you think it's okay . . . I found a way to create a soundtrack, that's much easier than piecing all the .WAV files together in a sound editor.

I could write out instructions on how to do it, and send them to you. I would likely make it an HTML document with pictures, zipped up in one file. You could look it over, and either give the okay or send it back to the drawing board.

The other method of piecing the files together would work too, but it's much more complicated and would take a lot more time.

If you have them. Sure. Might be better to send them directly to me instead at my email ID and then I can work with Auric to see if he wants to post them on TS or what we do with them. I can contact BVG about permission. Doubt they'll give it, but you never know!where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Already uploaded one to see if it would work but that was a day ago, and you probably knew about it because you're an admin. Do you really need permission to put that on this site?

I need to attempt to get permission, yes. Copyrighted material. Technically, Disney could shut this site down in a heartbeat, they own the TRON name and likeness.
