It sure is nice that I have it now...that way, I can force my guitar teacher to watch it! He hasn't even seen it before, and his house is filled with sci-fi posters and stuff from...I dunno...there's a lot of them. He hadn't even HEARD of !! For shame!

Long story slightly shortened:
My computer died so I formatted the harddrive and it was taking literally all day, so I sat down at the end of the day and watched TRON. My parents came in during the Clu part and watched it too. Mom seemed confused - she couldn't tell Ram, Tron and Flynn apart, thought that the journey to the I/O tower was the journey to the MCP, forgot what MCP stood for, and then fell asleep (but that's not an unusual thing for her to do when she's watching TV). After the movie was over, I asked them both what they thought. Mom said, 'the bits I was awake for were good'. Dad said, 'it was a bit 80's-ish'.

I just had mesen another dose of that there TRON!
Just watched it on my brand new 15" flat screen TV. Now that's classy.
I've watched it so many times now, and I'm still picking up new bits of dialogue that I didn't hear before, or a little bit of the plot that I didn't notice...
TRON is just brilliant. 'Course, we all know that, but every single aspect of the film is amazing. The production still boggles my mind (I can't begin to imagine the time and hard work involved), the graphics are still eye-popping, and the music is absolutely perfect. Much credit to Wendy Carlos!
I think one of the best pieces is when TRON communicates with Alan ( Tower Music - Let us Pray on the soundtrack). I love the music over that part! It's great!
And after watching TRON, I always feel much better afterwards.
And tomorrow I'll have been here at the sector for six months. Happy 1/2 Rez Day to me!

Just thought I'd PING in - while I didn't just re-watch the movie, I did watch it at work a couple weeks ago; I worked for Blockbuster Video, and we slammed it in the store's DVD player and let it run. I was surprised by the reaction we got. The customers tended to say one of two things:
1. "What is that movie, and can I rent it?!"
or
2. "TRON! AWESOME!"
I am re-playing  right now, as well; I just upgraded my PC to essentially top-of-the-line standards (3.4Ghz Pentium-D dual-core processor, etc), so Tron2.0 looks great now.
