Once Flynn's back in 82 User world, I wanna keep posting from there in the thread, ...kind alike "meanwhile back in 1982..." sort of thing. Which doesn't have to affect whatever story arcs you guys have going on-Grid unless you want it to in which case that's totally fine.
(I'll time-stamp posts as as "User world: 1982" or something like that, at the start of each post)

Tron could page Spark(total AU, but still). She'll come running if Flynn's in trouble. Backstory-wise, Spark ends up in the grid in January of '83.

Aw man, that's a cool idea...but, ironically, according to what we've done so far in this RP, he's already got the laser there in the arcade - that's how he got to the Grid this time, totally without planning to. So, the part where Spark helped him move the laser to the lab would have already just happened a few days before he first appeared in our RP.

((backstory which has not been covered in the RP yet ........ just prior to his jump into this RP, Flynn had just recently set up the laser aperture program. Then a few days later, during a marathon work session when he was overly tired and wasn't paying close attention to what he was doing, he somehow accidentally batched the startup file sequences for the laser with the time-machine game, ... so that when he opened the time-machine game platform to work on it, the batch sequence also initialized the laser too, but he didn't realize that ... and then when he typed in a year to play in the video game and hit "Yes", the laser zapped him into the Grid in that year.
Another irony - when selecting a year on the game, he had been trying to type in 2001 just for fun, as an homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey... he made a typo, ended up in 2011. So the irony being...the whole happenstance of him ending up on the Grid this time was based on a combo platter of errors - LOL!))

However, even though the part where he and Spark move the laser to the arcade has already happened by now, there could be a flashback where he recalls it.
In fact, that opportunity might be coming up soon, after he gets back to the arcade and tries to fix what he's done to the laser aperture and time-machine startup sequences. When we get to that, maybe you and I could collaborate on a post somewhere along there? ... you writing dialogue for Spark, me writing dialogue for Flynn?
(of course, there will also be a couple of surprise plot-elements between now and then too, which, will be fun, and probably amusing)
