Really good post CLU 3.0. One thing you have to fix though. In your post, you make it sound as if Abraxas just appeared. In the extras for Tron Evolution, it says that Clu created him. He captured the ISO Jalen and altered his code. Other than that, it's a wonderful post. And weren't you going to add a piece with Spark in it? Or is that supposed to be in the next one?

Oh, and in those scenes from Betrayel, you got some of the dialogue wrong. I'll PM you with the pieces to fix.

As far as effecting the Sailer... There is some shaking going on.. "Gridquakes" I think that would effect evreyone.. The grid is falling apart.. So things would be happining there too. I would think..

One of those plots that might be a bit of stretch scientifically, but since Tron and Legacy are sci-fi/fantasy to begin with, seems like that allows quite a bit of creative leeway as long as plot points tie in together logically and have some foundation in scientific believability .... okay so, that in mind, here's our theory behind what's going on with Flynn and Clu, at least as best as we could theorize to tie everything together so far in the RP.
Basically, what's going on is, three ongoing and underlying plot points introduced along the way in this RP are now all beginning to converge together here.


The first plot point being - Flynn's gotta get to the portal and back to his timeline because time is running out on the portal's aperture millicycle.


The second plot point being - due to the scavenger battles and having to draw power from the Grid to fight them, that's left the whole system at a power drain/deficit so now the portal aperture time has been shortened, and it is beginning to close sooner than it should.


The third plot point being - - the element of time travel.

(and yeah, this third plot point is the "scientific stretch" part -- we originally came up with it to try to explain how 1982 Clu 1.0 could be present and not derezzed, even though Flynn has come from a point in 1982 which is actually several months later after the defeat of the MCP -- what we came up with is basically a variation on wormhole time/space fold thing)
So, ........ as the portal begins to close, some sorta time/space snap-back is beginning to happen, which is happening very slowly because the system power has been drained and the system itself is out of equilibrium ... (kinda like when a CPU is pushed almost beyond its capacity it operates more slowly) .............in short, basically, it's like time/space folded over itself to bring Flynn here, now it's slowly unfolding again, which, along with the power drain, is what's causing the Grid instability, quakes, etc.
AND, as time/space slowly unfolds again, 2011 Clu is slowly beginning not to exist, because he wasn't written yet in 1982.


Whew. Okay, hope some of that made sense.
