I was just wondering why Clu renamed Tron Rinzler, is there any special significance to the name?

Rinzler was named after Lucasfilm Executive Editor J.W. Rinzler, who authored books such as "The Making of Star Wars" and "The Complete Making of Indiana Jones." Joseph Kosinski officially acknowledged this link.

You know, I got a really cool book called "365 Days of Star Wars" detailing the creation of the original trilogy for my birthday a couple of years ago. (Everyone assumes I'm a Star Wars fan for some reason, never actually seen the movies though.) It was written by J.W. Rinzler, and when I noticed it after seeing Tron: Legacy, I found it interesting. Adding on to this, with the Art of Tron Legacy book as my citation, they named him after J.W.
