I've already got the 5 disc limited edition pre-ordered through a retailer (Futureshop) in Canada. I just don't have enough Identity discs!  Seriously, I bought it for the wicked packaging, all versions of Tron: Legacy, and to have the first Tron on Blu-Ray.
(I'm going to wait and see if the green diecast lightcycle walmart exclusive gets released in Canada. It might be a US exclusive and if it is, I'll probably have to eBay just the bike itself.)
Are you going to bother with the Limited Edition? Which version will you be happy with?

Definitely getting both on blu-ray.
I could care less about the freebies they're throwing in, I already have the deluxe discs and three die cast light bikes, so I'm just going for the movies themselves.
By the way - who else HATES it when they give you the blu-ray, digital download, and the regular dvd version in the same pack? Why would I need the regular dvd if I have a blu ray machine? And as far as the digital download? I never bother with such things. I always end up giving those discs away to friends. I would prefer more special features and extra content than extra versions of the same movie ^_^

I'm getting the 3D version with the identity disc. Comes out a day before my bday so happy birthday to me. LOL

It depends.. I already have all the Discs..
except the Kevin Flynn Disc...
Does the Kevin Flynn disc come with the combo?
Either way a manager at Disneyland told me..
more Kevin Flynn Discs will be released in Stores..
when the Tron Legacy DVDs come out..
So I think I will just get Tron legacy and Tron
on DVD... since I don't have a blu ray player yet..
but my friend is getting both on blu ray...
so i'll just go to this house to watch them on his HD TV..
and eat popcorn lol..

I'm still torn between getting the Amazon Ultimate Tron Experience set and the Ultimate set you can pre-order at tronsoundtrack.com, though I'm leaning towards the latter since you seem to get more "bonus" stuff. I already have 2 Identity Discs (Sam's and Rinzler's though I still have to get Kevin Flynn's), so unless there's something special about the Identity Disc in the Amazon set, I don't think I "need" it.
If someone knows of any other special sets kindly list them here, or better yet, have it pinned at the top of the page. That would be really great.

I'm getting the 4 disc version. I think the 20th Anniversary Tron DVD has enough goodies on it, plus when I looked at the special features on the Blu-Ray, I could only find two new items. I also think it looks fine upconverted and the 5.1 mix sounds fine on my home theater.
In my case,, I like having both the DVD and Blu-Ray included. I can watch the Blu-Ray on my flatscreen at home and if I have business out of town, I can watch the DVD on either my laptop or portable DVD player. Also, when I'm ready to get a 3D TV, then I'll have the added bonus of being able to watch the 3D Blu-Ray at that time since I already have a 3D Blu-Ray player..order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Wow it looks like the original Tron comes with a LOT more stuff. Is that all the stuff that came with the 20th anniversary release? I don't have that release.
I've got the 5 disc preordered at Amazon for $45 but might just cancel that since I want to get the Walmart copy with the bike. Might as well just get the original Tron on blu to get the extras and cancel the 5 disc set even though I love that cover.
The 5 disc set should come with all the extras. Another nickel and dime job. With coupons likely the two separate sets will likely be cheaper than the 5 disc set is too (you can't get it for $45 anymore, that used an older coupon, now it's $50.)

I wish I had a Blu-Ray player!  Though if/when I get one in the future, I'm not opposed to buying it again...

Hm I didn't check what came with the big set. I just wanted the Making of Tron with the Tron Classic 2 disk set, and the two making of Tron Legacy docu's I've been watching on youtube. I don't need Blu-Ray or 3-D. I have the 3-D version of Journey to the center of the earth, not impressed. Needs a big big screen for that. I believe I can get both 2 disk sets for 50$, not bad in my book.
Why has it been such a fail anyway? Have other films been treated in this fashion?

Imthinking five-disc without ID disc, as I'm not sure whether that will be available in NZ or, if preordered from Amazon, will work in NZ players.

I pre-ordered the Limited Edition 5-disc combo with the Identity Disc packaging through Amazon. Right now, I am saving up to buy a Mitsubishi 73 inch 3D DLP TV, as well as a 3D Blu-ray player and 7.1 surround sound system. (The surround sound system will be purchased later on down the road. For now, just saving up for the TV and the Blu-ray player....well and the 3D glasses pack.)
Right now, I have an old 19 inch tube TV and a cheap DVD player. That will just have to do until I'm able to get that 73 inch monster! It's gonna be quite an upgrade! I can't wait!  Once the whole system is in place, it'll be like seeing TRON: Legacy in the theater again! LOL!

The disc that comes is an exclusive gimmick on a stand, not a Spinmaster disc. It's also just a generic black/blue disc.

Limited Edition Giftset shipping April 5th for me. Really excited since, after 10 years, my wife and I finally purchased a new Samsung 55" TV with 3D capabilities.
