It's supposed to be an image of Sam Flynn with a 3 on his helmet. Having trouble using attachments on my G1 Android. Maybe you can assist. Just do an image search for Tron 3. By the way, Sam never had a "3" image on his Light Cycle helmet, did he? |
Disregard...Sam flynn did have a "3" on his helmet, during the light cycle scene. Thought I was on to an official tron 3 image. I still stand by my theory.

Yeah like others have said, the "3" (which also appeared on hats at ElecTRONica) is a reference to Sam being "Combatant #3" when he enters the games.
EDIT: Noticed others mentioned this to you too... but wishful thinking never hurts. Ha!

Sooo dope.
Although the tracks, (sneak tracks on tronsoundtrack.com) sound amazing. I'll wait until Daft Punk goes live again to be blown away by a light show. Leave the neon glory to the robots. Humans dance too much when they play live music.

the finger triangle became the symbol for Daft Punk's "Alive" tour, mostly to worship the iconic light pyramid they had. Not to be confused with the Jay-Z "dynasty triangle", or DDP's "diamond cutter"
Heres the difference(s)
Daft Punk "pyramid triangle" (2007) = thumbs and index fingers together, form a triangle, other fingers balled up in you palm
Jay-Z "dynasty" (2005) = midway between a triangle and diamond, other fingers out and closed together
Diamond Dallas Page "diamond cutter" (1996+)= more of a diamond than a triangle, other fingers out and spread open.
*DDP actually sued Jay-Z for stealing his "diamond cutter" sign*
*Jay-Z knows better than to accuse a god of likeness theft*
