Today I got: a couple comic books (Tron: original movie adaptation). I've been meaning to pick it up at TRU. They've been there for weeks. I got 2. I noticed they were giving away Tron: Betrayal with purchase of Tron. I got to look through it. It's pretty impressive. It's like a LONG comic book. I might have to pick that up sometime soon. As far as toys at TRU: BLAH. Everything full price. They had the 3-man light jets, figures, a bunch of 12" Sams, tons of white Flynn cycles, etc. The stuff will rot there I guess at full price till it gets like 3" of dust on it. Ridiculous.

I stopped by a couple of Targets. SSDD. Nothing new. Some discounts, but nothing I don't already have. I got grief from an employee when I asked him to check the back since they had stock of the Deluxe IDs back there. He went on about not being aloud to go back there and crack boxes, hot wheels collectors wanting that type of thing looking for rare cars, etc. I basically cut him off. I said "why don't you just radio back there like the other guy does that's normally here. He said it doesn't make a difference. If there's boxes sealed back there, they're not allowed to crack them to look for stuff. So I said "no prob. I'll go up front and check on that. Thanks". LOL. Jerk. I got a manager right away and she was nice and checked for me. They had no white discs, so I left. I'm thinking distribution of Tron stuff is pretty much done. I did notice that the one Target still had the same 4 one-man lightjets there that have been there forever.

And so it comes to an end with checking the stores for me. At least I'll save money on gas and headaches arguing with employees who have obviously 'cherry-picked' the 'good stuff'. It hasn't been a pleasant experience, although I will said I did Ok getting what I needed. It's a shame it was SO difficult. Like pulling teeth to get things. Thanks for the tip, man! I've been waiting for Kmart to do that to pick up extras for customs as well, so now is the time to check. It won't be long before they hit that price around here.

EDIT: Any sign of die-casts?
