I doubt it but only Amazon would be able to confirm. As far as I know they don't have a release-day guarantee for movies anyway.

Blu ray players are great but I can't recommend getting one unless you have an hdtv somewhere. There is a sound upgrade over dvd (if you have surround sound set up properly) but I don't think the extra cost is worth it unless you have an hdtv.
Of course if you plan on getting an hdtv in the future (which everyone will eventually once what they have fails) then it's not a bad idea to go ahead and future-proof. That's what's nice about combo packs, I wish all blu rays came with a dvd copy. It's also nice to be able to split up the movies (let a friend borrow the dvd, or let the kids have it for their room.) Good value usually.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet or not, but here's the first 'store exclusive' I've seen with buying the new Tron release:

Green diecast cycle? Sigh. As much as I'd love to have it...can't justify the extra purchase.

Kind of like that green light cycle. I hope other stores don't do this, with their own 'exclusive' releases.
Not sure if this was mentioned but Tron Legacy will have a second screen interaction if you have an ipad.

I would still recommend a blu ray player even if you don't have an HD tv for a couple of reasons. First, there are often many more extra features on Blu-Ray than on dvd. Second, you will be less likely to end up having to re-buy movies whenever you make the switch to HD.

Getting a Blu-Ray player is a good idea, if just to future-proof for when you do get an HDTV.

Since I'm probably buying both movies separately I might go with this. It'll depend on:
-Price as Walmart.com and in-stores prices don't always jive, or if the combo is a better price deal then I'll get it and give away the 3d discs maybe?!?
-What other store exclusives there are

I ordered the film but I don't have a blu ray player yet! I will look for one. I would really like an Oppo but they are too much for my budget. Tron Legacy will get me into blu ray.
I really hope they deliver it on the exact release date. I would hate to be in a store and see it there while mine is still in transit.

I've checked a couple other stores (Target.com and Bestbuy.com) and it looks like they're just putting up the Tron movies. Neither of them show any exclusives yet.
I decided to buy the exclusive from Walmart for the diecast. I'll turn around and sell the movie...or give it away from Christmas or something :P

If you zoom the pic on Amazon.com, it says it glows if you push a button. I doubt it makes sound, though. Guessing.

I already own the 20th anniversary DVD, with no plans to buy a Bluray player. Is there any reason to purchase the re-release of the original (ie extra features not on the 20th?)

i guess they remastered it again, i don't remember where i read that. like, they improved the graphics and stuff but still kept the original feel of the movie. and there's the features. the new release for the original has new features. oh and, that identity disc, its cool if it lights up, we don't really need the sounds, but do you put the cds inside it? i dont understand, is that why it's said to have special packaging?order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill Singing: All I want for christmas is a Tron Legacy Identity Disc Replica... |

The fact that Steven Lisberger spent months on HD remastering the original film, correcting color hues/tones and cleaning up the film for HD, so it has a brilliant Hi Def visual quality and corrected color tones in line with what Lisberger originally wanted.
I think all that went into it make the new HD BluRay/DVD HD remaster is well worth the purchase.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I'm still going to buy the Blu Ray, but the following pictures make it seem like there isn't a difference. I would like to find a copy of the original DVD, it seems like the picture is clearer on that one.
