YAY!! I just preordered tron "special edition" for DVD (I actually preordered it on Friday but didn't get on 'till now) and I'm gonna preorder the special 5 pack thing (even though I don't have a bluray) soon!!

So there is no Tron 3 trailer on the discs now per this story:

You realize that Blu-Ray players are now less than $100, right? And the upgrade in picture quality, sound, etc. is so damn worth it that I can't even truly express the improvement with words. In other words this is one that needs to be seen to be properly understood. So do yourself a favor and save up your clams, because these things are cheaper now than they've ever been, Gnoop.

We'll see. We're still using a PS2 for DVD playback after our regular DVD player went out, my wife accepting the frustrations of that rather than spend the cash. I've already got the Blu-Ray player bug planted in her head but it's a matter of getting her to agree to it. Under $100? I haven't looked in a bit but I was usually seeing at about the $150 mark. I'd prefer to get something decent. I'll take a look.

That we now have a couple Blu-Ray discs thanks to Disney's Blu-Ray/DVD combos (on sale, no less) probably helps the cause. We'll see.

And DevRevenge, no HDTV for me. The 32" we're using was purchased in '99. Just an FYI. Talked to a rep at Disney Movie Club, and Tron is scheduled for availability to order there on 3/22. It's PROBABLY (nothing definite) going to be a 'Featured Title'...which means you also get the 3-D lenticular.

The price at Amazon for the 5 disc set fell to $49.99. If you preordered already and took advantage of that $5 coupon last week you should be able to get your order adjusted down to $44.99 total. Not bad.

Not sure about movies but for games Amazon usually can get the game to your house the day it releases (by shipping early.) They have a release-day guarantee I believe if you pre-order for games.
