I couldn't possibly rank them if I tried.
I'll order them more as I discovered them than the order I like them.
'Serious' List:
Toy Story
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Tron
Follow Me Boys
Star Trek: Insurrection
The Princess Bride
Batman (1989)
Second-hand Lions
Life With Father
Iron Man
Mr Smith Goes To Washington
It's A Wonderful Life
Cheezy/Fun List:Hellboy
Spaceballs
Robin Hood: Men In Tights
Anything with Nicholas Cage or Hugh Grant
Ocean's 11
Knight and Day
My tastes lie mostly in quality science fiction, fantasy, and superhero stuff. I watch the cheesier superhero filsm for fun, but I have no real love for them. I also like old Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant and the like movies... real classics. And if you can give me an action movie that's sole purpose isn't explosions... then I'm game. I like those pseudo-serious 80s type half-comedy half/action films. Newer ones in that vein just don't do it for me.

Wow. My list is not nearly that long. I guess my criteria is, "movies I am always quoting and must watch every time they come on TV without getting bored." I don't count movies I merely liked but don't necessarily need to watch more than a couple times.
I have four (in no particular order):
--Young Frankenstein
--The Princess Bride
--Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
--Somewhere in Time (okay, I'm not always quoting this one, but I still like it)
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

Trust me when I tell you that you do NOT want to get me started on quoting that! We could easily be here all night. A few weeks ago at work my coworker got on the page system to tell someone he had a visitor up front, and she accidentally mispronounced his name...somebody else then got on and sarcastically made another mispronunciation...so I picked it up and said, "no, it's pronounced 'eyegor.'"
I'm pretty sure I heard crickets, but it made ME happy. Yeah, I got problems. What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!
