A TRON styled Audi R8 luxury sports car was revealed today at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.

This unique car was created by West Coast Customs -- and was also inspired by the TRON styled electronic products that were developed collaboratively between Monster Co. and Disney Consumer Products.

This video, while a bit "rough around the edges" -- is a "first look" of the reveal. It can be seen that it is very crowded around the vehicle with several photographers, etc. with limiting angles and perspectives at that particular moment -- additional photos per their release will reveal more of the exterior and show the interior as well. That person was almost possibly the worst camera man taking that video. They managed to capture almost no details of the car and missed the lights changing color.

Cool car though...not sure if I'd want to drive an all chrome car.

Imbroglio is correct -- it's an industry crowd there... you wouldn't be getting a lot of hoots and hollers in this instance.

Very nice and cool lights from wheels but need to see inside of this car, but not look like it is from Tron but similar anyway, I would like to see real light cycle and light runner for car show , will they appear for car show in future ??

I got to see it in person at the Monster booth and it wasn't all that impressive sadly.

The shiny dark chrome finish looked a little off. Gloss black would've looked much better. The paint job had tons of little scratch marks all over it. You'd think it had been driven through an intense sand storm with all of them, and the super gloss finish really made them show.

The lights were decent, but nothing extraordinary. Their look and design didn't fit into the Tron aesthetic, past or present. The side panels on the doors were well done, but the lights on the tires looked like the beaded lights you can buy for your patio. It looked very tacked on.

As for the interior, it was your standard Audi layout with some of the embedded lights thrown in along the dash and arm rest, but again, nothing all that great, and they didn't look like they're from Tron at all. I tried to get some pictures but the distance of the car from me due to the security ropes, and the extreme shine on the window meant that the pictures mostly just showed my reflection instead. Shame.

Overall, it's decent when you take the Tron aspect out of it, but when comparing it to Tron, it's pretty bad.

As for people not taking notice because it's an industry crowd, there's a lot of people that attend like myself that are just tech geeks looking to check things out. As long as you're interested and you register, you're pretty much in. I could work at Subway and still probably get in. Not to mention the fact that 50 Cent and Lady Gaga were there (I don't care for either of them), and they certainly attracted a large crowd of non-industry show goers.

On a side note, I got to see some of the other Tron merchandise there.

For Monster, the two headphone sets were on display. They look nice, and sounded pretty good, but not worth the price in my opinion (Monster stuff rarely is). The "disc dock" was also there, and it looks pretty authentic, but the lights on it were crappy. Maybe the model they had there was malfunctioning, but the lights looked very weak and the cycling light effect looked very choppy since it apparently uses beaded LEDs instead of a smoother lighting option. Can't say how it sounds unfortunately as that wasn't being demonstrated, and it's possible it looks different when an iPod is plugged into it and playing.

The Razer Tron keyboard and mouse were there too at Razer's booth, and they weren't all that special either sadly. The keyboard is waaaaaaay too wide (the keys are huge!), and the mouse is way too small, almost like a laptop mouse (which means it's in no way an appropriate gamer mouse). I really don't know why they decided to do this since the people who are going to buy this are going to be nitpicky gamers and expect something of gamer quality and form factor.

PDP's booth had their Tron controllers there (or so I heard, I couldn't make it to their booth). Since I recently just received all three of the controllers, I can say that they're all pretty nice and built well, but the X-Box 360 and PS3 controllers being wired is a huge let down. It also sucks that there's not a nun-chuck attachment to go with the Wiimote.

I gotta say, it seems like companies have really half assed the electronic Tron merchandise thus far.

Outside of physical stuff, as I mentioned before there were booths playing Derezzed (strangely enough, all but the Monster booths that were playing it were completely unrelated to Tron, most of them Chinese companies I've never heard of), and I heard End of Line today too. The two most recent trailers were also being used in many video demonstrations featuring recent film trailers.
