Found this on wikipedia needs confirming though:
"Sequels and other media
Steven Lisberger stated on October 28, 2010, before the film's release, that a sequel was officially in production and that Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis, screenwriters for Tron: Legacy, were in the early stages of producing a script for the new film. It's speculated that "Tron 3" could be the first installment in a new trilogy.
A spin-off animated series called "Tron: Uprising" is under way and will premiere sometime in the year of 2012 on the Disney network across the United States."

I know that Adam and Eddie are working on the script, but if it finished and they're working on production already? I'm not sure.
Also, Tron: Uprising has been brought up before. AICN listed a bunch of cast members doing the show including Elijah Wood and Bruce Boxleitner.

There is a dedicated Wikipedia page for TRON: Uprising as well as an IMDB page. Both are complete with casting infos so I gather the series has been greenlit. Now, understand that this is a microseries so its prescence on television will be more of a test that could be the vanguard of a larger more intricate television series down the road. Microseries are now the latest tool in testing the waters to see if traditional series is profitable. "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |

There's a thread dedicated to Tron: Uprising here
As for Tron 3, all that was stated was that they were starting development. That doesn't mean it's in production or greenlit yet, sadly.

I wouldn't trust anything on wikipedia. Unrestricted open editing results in information equivalent to the old "telephone" message relay game we played in elmentary school when I was a kid. In addition to that there a lot of disinformation placed on that site by people pushing agendas.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Normally I would agree with you, however the infos on Wikipedia mirror the infos on ACIN so I figure its not a hoax. "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |

LWSrocks Wrote:I also doubt it would be part of "a new trilogy". I think they usually complete 1 trilogy before making a separate trilogy. They might have the first 3 films (Tron, Tron: Legacy, Tron 3) be surrounding Flynn and Sam and then start another trilogy about the Bradleys? (Alan, Jethro, etc) I don't know. I just doubt they would do (or be able to do) more than 3 movies with Jeff Bridges. Then again, they could still continue the movie with Sam and just have Kevin out of the picture, but... I don't know. |
No offense, but that's rather ridiculous. The original TRON came out in 1982, a literal lifetime ago for the modern generation of audiences. Many if not most of the core audience for a film of this type was not born when the original TRON was in theaters and it's videogame spinoff conquered arcades. There is simply no way that the original movie is considered in any trilogy thinking. No, Legacy is not a remake or reboot but it fills the same role as a fresh start for the franchise. From that perspective, the original TRON has been relegated to the role of retroactive, optional prequel.
I don't recall where I read it, but I remember seeing that the plan was (presuming sequels are greenlit) to film the next two movies back to back. This makes a lot of sense, as doing so provides a major savings in production cost compared to doing two seperate productions. So if that's correct, we'll either see two more films or nothing.

So, if they started production, we can probably expect to see it by around late 2012 or 2013?

I don't think the script was even finished when Legacy went into actual filming. I'd say 2013 is a good bet if we get another movie.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Agreed. Unfortunately the world is "ending" in May. *rolls eyes so hard I go blind for a minute* and then it's ending again in 2012 *goes blind for an hour*
