I wonder if DD will show the gag reel that we made for Tron Legacy. Some really funny stuff in it.
The gag reel was a bunch of choice shots in the film where some VFX were added to change up the shot for the sake of humor.
Maybe it will make an appearance on the blu-ray extras?

The haters and trolls posting comments in the comments section on the youtube upload of the video and all the pretentious haters posting threads on TL's IMDB forum is truely amomg the most inane and moronic things I've ever read on the internet.
Each shot of CG Clu shown in this VFX reel looks great IMO. Not 100% super perfect, but still look really damn good.

Brings tears.
Because so many of the initial renderings were shown - and on those renderings can be shown the enormous detail and really cool designs that obviously went into this movie. Then the renderings disappear into black as the actual shots from the movie replace them. Darn!
Best example is the recogniser. At first on the screen comes this really cool looking rendering and you think "wow". Then seconds later it's replaced by a black "thing" where you can barely make out the outline of what you just saw, along with a few orange lines that look a bit like the neon outside a clothing shop entrance.
If I was one of the artists who worked on this stuff, i would be so disappointed with the result.
Now perhaps they should remake the movie using just the renderings and forget the final print. Then we would have something worth watching!

My understanding is that those are pre-vis renders, not actual designs. Nothing was replaced so much as completed.
