I had no problem at all with mine, I just sculpted onto the core figure's neckball and made it a true balljoint to fit the head I was using, and the lean on the neck is now irrelevant. That does mean, though, that I have to dremel out his helmet to get it to fit the new ball, which I have yet to do.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I took a crack at the redeemed Tron as well as a repainted Sam:
This is a repainted core Rinzler with a Chuckles head from G.I. Joe.
This is a repainted deluxe Rinzler. On this one? I took some care to make it as movie accurate as possible. I noticed on all Rinzler figures, they gave him extra orange decos that he didn't have in the film. Sadly? All of my Rinzler figures still glow orange when lit - I'm afraid I don't have the skills or material to redo the LED's within. I also concede that I made his circuitry white when there has been some discussion that Tron is in fact blue. I simply took a nod from the proposed 'Redeemed Tron' figure from Spinmasters and noticed they used white as well :\
And this is a repainted Sam. He still glows fairly well when lit, he just looks a bit cooler when standing there. Again, the color might be a bit off. I also gave him a bit of flesh tone on the chin, makes the figure a bit more interesting to look at I think and is a bit more faithful to the Sam seen in posters.
On all these figures? I used base and gloss acrylic

So are you guys using sculpy for the ball joint filler? I was wondering if their was some kind of rubber washer or stopper I could stick over the ball joint between the head without having to cure sculpy since I don't have a hair dryer and I'm not going to bake it with electronics inside.

Which shade and brand of paint are you using? I picked up some Testors model masters yellow insignia that I'm going to use to repaint a light jet. |

Can you maybe post a picture of the figure without the head so I can get a better idea of what you did?

Don't use sculpty. You Aves Apoxy Sculpt or Aves Fixit Sculpt. It comes in 2 parts, and once you mix the parts together it gives you several hours of work time as it naturally hardens.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online End of line |

Agreed. I only use Sculpy for prototyping accessory/clothing sculpts. It's soft, and it's easy to screw up. Side-note, though, boil sculpy in water, no baking necessary. I did that to prototype my Boba.exe figure. Removed the front panel from the body, sculpt, boil. Just for future reference. No melted figure parts that way

It looks like a deranged Sam.
For Tron heads, I've been considering making casts of the head I have for distribution to interested parties, since the original figure is so hard to come by at a reasonable price. If I can get a clean plaster mold made, would anyone be interested?order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Gotta say, that's an excellent CLU Boba. I was really hoping we'd get something like that. I've modded my extra Deluxe Sam to have an un-helmeted head, and i'm hoping to grab another discount CLU and do something similar. I'd love to share some pics if anyone's interested, but the best I can do is blurry phone pics since my camera's got no connection to my computer right now.
Depending on how much you'd be asking, I might be interested in a Tron head, Boba.

Thanks for the pics Boba. Upon evaluation that wouldn't have worked for my head, so I just did a neck transplant. I cut the neck off of Rinzler with a dremel, then cut the neck off the body the head came from and attached it to Rinzler's body.

LWSrocks Wrote:Hey, so what inspired you to replace the squares in the T with circles? It's an interesting idea. In fact, I think if I ever did a Tron custom I'd probably do the T just as you did here. I just curious what caused you to go, "Oh! Hey, this would look cooler if they were circles instead of squares!" |
They're not. It's just the way they look in the photo. My camera kind of sucks lol All I did was use a toothpick to sort of drop the paint into the T logo and let it take it's own shape.
I have to admit though, I am definitely getting another head for my core fig, especially after seeing the latest custom on here

plaster for what, casting the head?
actually i'll give a fine suggestion for everyone if casting heads i use for mego blanks if you can't afford pricier silicone.
caulk.... i'm serious.
pick up a tube of clear caulk from walmart for a 1.50 - 2.00 and a small bottle of acetone.
use the acetone outside or in my case my shop has a bunch of filter masks.
thin down a bit of it with the acetone to make an easily brushable detail coat and let it dry.
then basically build it up to about a 1/4" thickness.
it's flexible enough you can pop out the original headcast/sculpt.
virtually any resin can be mixed up and poured into it.
use a toothpick to remove any air bubbles that make be lurking in the detail points.
resin you can pick up at most craft stores if online ordering is not for you.
the awesome part is if you sign up for mailing lists, a.c. moore, michaels, and jo ann quite often sends you 25 - 50% off coupons every month!
plus these store price match and use competitor's coupons!
i use/abuse the crap out of this for supply runs.
