Thank you sirs. This one was actually a GI Joe Dusty. The best part is that it's currently available at retail, so it's a cheap and easy find.

I had to sand down the part of the hair that came over his forehead as well as his chin, then I resculpted the hair and repainted it all.

No it's Pursuit Of Cobra Dusty. I posted a link to the figure a few posts above.

I'm going to the store tonight with Michael's 40% coupon to pick up some resin and catalyst, then to the hardware store to get some supplies to make a mold. I'll be testing it out on a head I don't care too much about, and if I can get good results, I will offer up CLU, Tron, and Quorra heads for you guys. Interest? y/n?

Also, I've noticed the resin I'm getting is clear white, so I might try to do a mold of the Rinzler body in clear and see how that goes. I would still require an electronics swap from a Sam/Kevin/Quorra, but it would be a start.

Gen 3 lightcycle:

yeah, my modeler's been working her butt off at work to pay for some massive car repairs.

i myself haven't had much free cash for supplies, but i did pick up another quart of molding silicone and half a gallon of easy flo 60 resin to prepare for the Gen 3 and the custom heads i'm planning on as well.

i figure just to make things proceed quicker i'd just ask for supplies for my birthday in a few weeks.

might i add that easy flo 60 is the s#@t for making cast parts, as it's a rather forgiving 1:1 ratio and basically pours out really thin, almost like water.
if you cast it in a cold room it'll slow down the cure time allowing you to work a toothpick in to help reduce air bubbles.

I did the caulk/acetone like you suggested... yeah. The caulk works fine by iteself, the acetone just separated out and then preceded to destroy my brush, which I THOUGHT was natural bristled but evidently wasn't. All in all, the caulk/acentone ended up costing me more than getting molding silicone or plaster from the craft store.

weird, i do it probably once a month on jobs,
although to brush it on i usually use a variety of chip brushes.
i've never had it seperate out on me before.

really sorry it didn't work out for you man.

i just got another quart kit of monster mold in for figure molds,
and exported the models from evolution into zbrush for 3d printing.

i never realized how many different headsculpts there were for the base grid suit body.
so if i wanted to be meticulous i could cough out a half dozen heads specifically as competitors on the sam flynn body.

also the tank model is solid, as in it could be 3d printed with almost no alteration.
too bad it would set me back about 350 bucks just to get it printed in scale.

Zuse, how did you paint around the chest lights? Did you have to mask them off? I'd like to do this with my Clu.

i'm thinking of it as long as i can find a very inexpensive way to ship them.
so hopefully for a standard head i could let em go at 3 bucks shipping included.

i like making customs as birthday gifts and such.
anyone can give a giftcard, i prefer to show a bit more love, you know?

Yeah. Well... cool. I was hoping I could sell casts of my CLU head, but to break even, I'd need to sell 'em at $5-6 apiece, so you have me beat on price and quality if it works out.

EDIT: Started on a core version of '82 Tron with an extra Sam I bought while back for the purpose. Lookin' pretty gooood.

well i only luck out from have the supplies left over from fx jobs.

the silicone and resin are leftovers from a prop replication job this week.
(a actor safe version of a knife used in an evisceration scene.)

the 3d print sets me back decently but i want more experience in it anyhow,
as the limitations of sculpting that small really does me in.
i'm used to mego scale heads and prosthetics, which are obviously 1/1 scale.

and to answer ender9492's question: i couldn't make them articulated with functional wheels without a major upswing in difficulty. i have the sideshow gen 4 here but i'm not sure i'd want to sacrifice it to clone it. if i used the model to make it smaller, i'd have to break it up into pieces like a model kit in order to get it printed requiring multiple files printed. in all it would probably set me back maybe 400 bucks to build a scale gen 4.

I think I saw someone saying something about making a 3rd gen lightcycle vehicle toy or something. Found this today in my massive archive of Tron Legacy photos:

This is concept art from Tron Evolution. The lightcycle racing down the street is very likely to be a 3rd generation lightcycle.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

So here's a question for everyone.

If there were to be a Core figure scale Recognizer, how big would it be? I have been looking at photos and lookinf at Sam for scale. I am thinking that the total size of the vehicle would be about 20 inchestall and 32 inches wide. The Sam figuer is 4 inches tall. Does this sound about right? Are there any blueprints/plans of the vehicle available for reference?

Probably about the same size as the Star Wars Big AT-AT. I don't remember the exact height but I know it is over 2 feet tall.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill
