Agreed. I only went to True Grit to see with my dad. Tron: Legacy with my sister and her friend. My friend had work.

If everything works out I should be going to watch Tron Legacy at the IMAX in 3D with my friends. Two of them have not seen it the other three of us want to go to get the full experience. Just like what one of the guys said here "Every little BIT helps" ha ha.

This will make it my third time, and probably the best.

Season of the Witch looks like something Uwe Boll might direct (in other words, it looks like crap). What is up with Nicolas Cage? I read that he was originally going to be the villain in Green Hornet, but they dropped him because he wanted to do a goofy Jamaican accent. Early box office weekend projection from boxoffice.com based on Friday's numbers. Note that some movies could still trade places in the more accurate Sunday estimates bit either way Tron is holding up nicely to new releases. It helps those releases are pretty poor, of course. Due to a family illness I wasn't able to go see the film until today. I absolutely loved the movie. I thought the visuals were stunning. The CGI Clu face was okay. The action secnes were spectacular. The acting was very good. I enjoyed the references to the original.

I didn't see it in Imax but on a large screen in 3D. It was just great. The surround sound drew me into the picture.

The story had some interesting themes. Creating an utopian society doesn't work.

I've waited 28 years for a Tron sequel and it was very good. I do wish there was more of Tron. I thought the character was underused.

I felt like I was 12 again. It was such a fun movie.

End of Line

Glad you enjoyed it! I had the same feeling of being a kid watching one of the coolest things with your eyes wide open.

Good news to report BTW, at least in my area. I went to watch Tron Legacy at the IMAX 3D since it was the last weekend to see it. I wen't to the matinee at 4:55 and it was packed! I was happy to see so many people there to watch it.

Just curious if anyone has seen any projections as to where the film will wind up when its all said and done based on this weekend's performance. I would think the $170 million mark is pretty much guaranteed, but I'm afraid $200 million is probably a stretch.

NICE! I like the sound of that. As far as Uwe Boll is concerned, I wonder if that German tax loophole (that he uses to continue making crappy movies) is going to close? I remember reading an interview with the guy that created "Metal Gear", and when asked if he'd allow Uwe Boll making it (a film version), the guy said, "HELL NO!" (LMAO!!!!!). I fell out my chair when I read it - hard.

Fighting for TRON, The USERS, Both Flynns, Independents, and the mighty ISOs since '82.

At the rate it's going, $175m seems to be the best case scenario.

Depends how many IMAX screens are dropped next weekend for The Green Hornet.

That's actually not true.

You can get tickets for Tron at IMAX through February in some areas. It seems that some will be playing both concurrently or have just chosen to keep playing Tron. Not sure what the breakdown is. But, at least in some of the major markets, Tron will keep on playing.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Season of the Witch takes 3rd place slot from TRON?! No hope for American moviegoers i'm afraid.

Well, to be fair, it was Witch's first weekend, and TRON's fourth. But Season of the Witch also appears to have a very modest budget, so it won't have to work hard to make back what it cost to produce, unlike TRON, which should earn out -- but still has a high hurdle to jump.

Having not seen the movie I will reserve judgment on Witch's quality.

That TRON still took in close to ten million after a full month? That's great news. I can't wait to see how much international box office brought in since last week. TRON might cross the $300M boundary, at which point it will have earned back ALL production costs AND promotion costs, making everything else from this point out pure gravy.

Keep up the faith programs. International is up to 143 million now. Total worldwide is 297 million. Not bad, Walt Disney would be proud.

This is all according to plan, right.
