The problem with both Hornet and Lantern is that neither project seems to have been taken seriously. They're aiming for slap-stick and goofball humor when both franchises should be, in my opinion, handled with much more gravity. Now, sometimes it can work. Not saying it's impossible. I just don't see that either of these demanded a live-action movie at this time, and certainly not the sort of live-action films being delivered, with cut-up jokes and other debris strewn in place of plotting or drama.

That is exactly my problem with Hornet and Lantern, both of the trailers make the movies out to be the cliched "buddy" action comedies. Like I said, I really don't go out my way to see superhero movies, but I found Dark Knight very good because it wasn't loaded with stupid jokes or ridiculously overdone Matrix type slow motion fighting sequences. The only other "superhero" movie I really liked was Mystery Men.

I did get interested at the beginning of the Lantern trailer because I thought it was for the Last Starfighter remake but after the reveal I was angry that I couldn't get my 3 minutes back.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Quorra is fine and adorable. But I say Rinzler (Tron), more fitting metaphor for the movie holdin and fighting on in the box office, because even when it seemed he was knocked out, knocked down, etc... he would come back strong still in the fight.

Holy cow, after seeing Tron Legacy for the second time yesterday, I am even more convinced that Tron 3 NEEDS to happen. Thus, this healthy performance at the box office is great to see. Since I know people both on here and in other websites are seeing this film multiple times, I feel good about this film continuing to make money well into the month.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!?

I chalk it up to the seething rebellious TRON spirit boiling to get out, so he had no choice but to growl and snarl and try to force it back.

I thought that it was maybe because he could disfigured, but he said "I fight for the Users" well.

It wasn't really explained in the movie, though you could argue it is.

It sounded like a clicking hard-drive to me... Sort of an equivalent to the Darth Vader "breathing" sound.

Been meaning to post here but got lazy. I loved the movie got to see it twice, once on 3d the other time regular.I had 2 things to look forward to, the 1st was how the new story was going to play out and the 2nd Daft Punk's musical score. I believe its been 4 years since they released a new album. I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed. I'm glad the story was original like the 1st movie.I've read many questions with the plot but I expected much. To me it has a Greek tragedy feel to it with a GOD in this case Kevin Flynn creating a world and having to deal with his mistake.I'm happy that its not copying eastern styles and keeps it American ( or least I think it does). My only gripe with the movie was that it felt they wasted too much time on getting Sam in TRON gear which if they just did it like the original ( he would have already been in TRON gear). They could have spent more time developing Castor and Gem. Castor to me could have been more, but he just seemed like a Ziggy Star Dust GUI compiled with Merovigian's "smug clever jerk "code from the matrix. If a sequel comes out I'm hoping we'll see a more fleshed out version of the 2. I have so many questions and to me that's a good thing. In the original not all is explained but an extensive cluster of data can be found on the internet.I hope this brings new users to the fold.

Seen it 2 times at AMC Del Amo 16, and each time the IMAX has been full...

I can't wait until it opens in China, Germany and other EU territories it's going to open in.. should give the international box office a boost.

If Facebook is any indication so far viewer reaction has been overwhelmingly positive on the official FB page for the movie, with only a very very small number of negative comments about the film. Take that with a grain of salt but it's interesting though...

I agree, nice Monday.

Box Office Mojo also has the international estimates.

http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=tron2.htm

TRON Legacy will beat $250,000,000 dollars US world-wide revenue by the end of the week.

Disney is smoking crack if they don't buy on for at least one more sequel!

The international take alone is going to crush domestic and put TL well above $300,000,000 dollars US by the end of the month. Book it.

Franchise, baby!

Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood reported the Production budget plus marketing costs as 390,000,000. 290,000,000 I believe if Disney released this film in the summer it would do much better than it has i.e Clash of the Titans.

That can't be right. The budget was supposed to be 150-170mil. So the marketing was 220m in it's own? That doesn't make sense.

I *highly* doubt the marketing for the movie was 220 mil....

Globally the film has more than sufficiently re-couped it's production budget. I am highly questioning of Nikki Finke's estimation...
